I still LG for this terribly handled launch and "everybody gets a pre production unit" mentality but I can't settle for a nice camera with no manual controls. Third party apps never have the same access to the camera as the manufacturer either. Maybe one day that will change but that's how it is right now. Simply no choice but to wait for this slooooooooow release of news. Its like they have is a date and now are still holding out on price for T-Mobile and other carriers. In the meantime I've been rekindling my love with the Lumia 1020 just for fun and just in case 10-11 months down the road I get hit with a bootloop. Hopefully though the 1020 can serve as an occasional trip down memory lane and not in case of emergency.
I'm sure he will reply but if you look in the V10 picture thread he probably has the best pictures in there, mostly, if not all, in manual. He's really good.Do you use the manual controls often? I have the G5, and the V10 prior, and probably only used it 6-7 times.
Pixel has the HDR+ feature, with zero lag. Thats a big selling point to me, because I probably take more evening or night shots.
Being a camera guy I use manual 98% of the time. Sometimes I use the same settings for a number of shots but I'm usually at least adjusting the shutter speed and ISO to my liking. I just don't like letting the software do the work for me except every once in a while. I don't always use manual for video though except for when I know I can get better results than the default. But that's just me. Honestly I could still be using the Sony Xperia Z3 if I didn't love manual controls.Do you use the manual controls often? All unedited manual shots.
Thanks. LG just does it for me with the controls. Only reason I'm sticking around.lolNice photos bro!
Seriously sexy looking device with a similar feature set as the V20. I wonder how good that 23mp camera really is though. I've seen a lot of high mp count cameras that only end up looking good on paper.
Curse those prices too.lolAgreed. I leave my Note 7 in 1080p for battery life anyway. This device looks like the real deal, but sadly not Verizon.
I would get this if Verizon compatible. Curse Verizon's superior coverage!
Does the v20 have seamless updates?Verizon is promising fast on updates on Pixel but still think the V20 is the better path.
Pixel has an advantage because the 821 will support Android 8.0 and 820 is uncertain

That honestly would've been my next phone if it weren't for the 3000mah non removable battery.

Thats a nice one....I think ill look into it too....
The only updates I want are security updates or updates to fix something that doesn't work (like bluetooth in iphone 7 plus). I don't get the obsession with updates. I find phones are optimized for the version they come out with and updates often screw things up.Verizon is promising fast on updates on Pixel but still think the V20 is the better path.

PixelGoogle Pixel XL looks like the real deal. Really impressed with their camera demonstration in the live presentation.
Plus faster, newer 821 processor than V20.
AMOLED screen (better battery life)
Larger battery
New version of Nouget of 7.1, instead of 7.0
And best part - pre-order today and delivery is by Oct 20 (verizon says).
LG lost so many sales by dragging their feet with this terrible V20 launch, which began teasing exactly 60 days ago.
