Anyone going to T-Mobile tomorrow?

Well I just called a local t mobile store here in Dallas and was told the one store that had the N4 was sold out. They have a wait list option but it could be a few days to a week. Might as well just wait until they're back in the Play Store.

I was told that there is no added software, any future update goes through t mobile, and it is locked but if you choose to unlock it an unlock code is available through T Mobile.

I'm gonna call the local one when they open. If it is a pure nexus 4 with no bloatware then I may be tempted. But we'll see

No. Much as many of us would love to see this - they did not.

The only source I've ever seen on this was a support page on T-Mobile that accidentally had the WiFi calling left on the boilerplate text. That error was corrected yesterday, and all the news outlets have issued corrections.

Do you have a more recent and authoritative source?

The Value Plans are the exact same as the Classic Plans, except ~$20 cheaper a month and they don't have a device subsidy. They're still 2-year contracts and postpaid.

What if i were to get it from the play store and then use t-mo's value plan - would i be locked in a 2 year contract? i would assume no?

One of my many local T-Horribles stores got 10 devices in only. They also didn't get any accessories in so don't bother wasting your time.

I will wait patiently for my tracking info, well try to wait patiently : /

Okay, I stand corrected. If it really is a stock Nexus that gets its updates directly from Google, then I might check the local stores.

Your assumption would be wrong. You would still be locked into a 2-year contract.

I called Tmobile and they said it was locked to the carrier I contested but there was no point in arguing. I dont think it is locked but I am not going to take the chance.

They are wrong.. I bought one from Tmobile today and have used it with both an AT&T straight talk sim as well as a Tmobile straight talk sim. No difference except the Tmobile sim was much faster.

The question is, is your purchase linked by the MEID if you purchase at Tmobile?

If not, what could stop you from purchasing from them, activate the phone. Purchase one from Google Play once they are back in stock, and return that one to tmobile for the $499 refund since it's still factory sealed. The excuse would line up as a "Christmas Gift" that you no longer want.

I work for a carrier. It is important to avoid instances of case and fraud to know who owns what phone and when it was used. (FYI this is called fraud )

I called a local TMO store about 2pm yesterday and they said they had the N4 in stock. I went by after work and asked the girl working there if I could see it (I had spoken to some guy on the phone). She said she didn't know what I was talking about! She went in the back and eventually came out with one that was all gacked up with the locking display tether so I couldn't get the true feel. Better than nothing, though! It was unbelievably sweet!!! Super well built and awesome fast. I asked if they had any in stock and she said they had 4 and had not as yet sold one.

T-mobile vs Waiting. My dilemma.

I called T-mobile and getting a phone through them with the 2 year contract means that you will have to pay the full price for the phone. THey will change you the remaining 300$ if you cancel the contract.
However, they wave the early terminaiton fee within the first 20 days.
So total price for the phone would come out to 500- a 50$ mail in rebate.

450 now, vs 350 later....

Normally, I would wait, but already sold my iPhone for this. and if it might take 3 weeks for people who already completed their orders, how long do you think it will take for them to open orders back up? and who is to say the same thing wont happen again?

.... im leaning T-mobile.
Anyone have any reason to think I might be able to get the N4 before December through the play store? If there is a good chance I can get it before December, then I will go with Gplay.... if not, Tmobile.

5 in stock at local Tmobile

Called a few stores. Asked the sales person what store may have them. Called and they got 5. Will be going bin tomorrow
