Thinking about it. I had a 3g and a 4S, moved on to a nexus 4 for the screen size. Ended up switching it up for a G2 for battery life and camera quality.
I would like to switch back because
1. Imessage
2. Facetime
3. Airplay (I have an airport express, an appletv, airplay embedded in my 5.1 receiver...)
4. Often better app design and reliability in my experience
5. TouchID is a gazillion time better than face unlock of the S5's fingerprint scanner
6. Siri can read back messages and emails as I'm driving
7. More and better games in App Store + games more optimized for hardware (like consoles vs powerful PC that stutters) + Metal in iOS 8
8. I think if Apple introduces NFC it will actually be useful. I can't make mobile payments with my android devices in Canada because you need the right carrier and right bank and special SIM.. Not Apple's way.
I am held back by
1. OS general design. iOS 7/8 is too pastel for my liking, and I love where Android L is going. Love and use my calendar widget all the time
2. Upcoming AndroidTV is miles ahead of AppleTV
3. Choice of smart watches (really interested by that round LG R watch)
4. Device prices, especially at high storage/SD Card
5. Google Now >>> Siri now for most things except above
6. Setting default apps
So yeah. I might just sit it out for a while and see where things go, as both platform are at similar levels but offer different advantages to me. Will see their keynote.
Also very interested in what Motorola will release, if it has a good camera.
