Anyone have issues with Car Bluetooth?

Did you previously use Google Play Music with another phone in the car? I currently use it on a Nexus 5 in a 2014 Honda Civic. I have found various Android updates and app updates have caused issues, but not the phone itself. Worked best with the original Kit Kat that came on the phone and the app that existed then.

Thanks for your update! Do or did you even use Google Play Music? Do you happen to have another phone/device around for you to try this fix?

I used Google Play Music as my main music player for years with all my phones. I can't try this fix with another phone because this problem was exclusive to the LGG6.

I used Google Play Music without incident since I bought my 2014 Accord. That time frame would cover my two prior phones. One was an original Motorola X and that phone was replaced by an LG G4. The Bluetooth issue only started the day after I paired my LG G6. I tried factory resets of the phone and the car Bluetooth system but disabling Google Play Music was the only thing that stopped the problem.

Hi just wanted to share incase others have similar experience to mine. I went to Tmobile and I called Hyundai i have 2012. I could connect for phone but car stated audio is not supported. Totally thought it was older tech vs. Newer tech. Issue. No one had any advice except wait for an update....well....I came acress a setting and now it connects and plays amazon music and you tube and everything fine.
Settings >General>Apps>top right 3 dots...
Configure Apps>App Permissions >Additional Permissions >Car Information >Show System. Once i changed from hide to show I havent had issues. Good luck!

I have a 2016 Odyssey, same problem. I rolled back Google play music to factory version, then went to play store and disabled automatic updating for play music, and Bluetooth works perfectly now.

Surprisingly, I have not had any issues. Works just as well in my 2014 Honda as my Nexus 5 did when I first got it, before all the system and app updates.

Hmm.... I recently picked up a, you guessed it, 2014 Honda Accord... And I was able to pair my G6 to it, play GPM, Waze, calls, you name it, zero issues. So, seeing as I most likely don't have some magical G6, there must be some other factors at play here. What model G6? What is the software level on the Accord?

Basically, what makes it reliable on my combination Accord/G6 but not others?

Brand new LG G6, not a day old and it doesn't connect to car, only call audio connects but not the media. Works fine with portable speakers but keeps disconnecting every ten seconds in car. Tried everything, reset network, clearing all Bluetooth data, safe mode, even restarted my car's audio system.
Finally found out what was causing the problem, I had disabled the LG preinstalled "Music" app, Don't know what it has to do with car audio bluetooth connection, but I found out it was definitely disabling the Music app that caused the media audio to be in a constant connecting/disconnecting loop. After enabling it again works just fine.

I have a bluetooth LG Infinim earphone that cames with my G6. It works fine but suddenly the bluetoth just turn of by itself.. dont know what to do...

Thread is about car bluetooth issues. Also, read another of your posts about uninstalling an app via ADB. Did you perhaps cause this while doing that?

No, I didnt cause that and I didnt uninstall anything on my device, I never do anything before researching what problems can I have. So, I noticed that my bluetoth issues was because of the smart settings, I just reset smart settings as a default now works fine. Maybe that can cause a problem on conecting on a car too.

That's odd. I disabled LG Music on my G6 US997 when I got it a month ago. Paired it with Bluetooth on my Honda Ridgeline, and have never had a glitch. Connects quickly and automatically as soon as the vehicle is powered on, and works flawlessly until shut down.

I know, it's odd right! But as I said, disable music app, media bluetooth keeps disconnecting. Enabled it again, works just fine. Even tried same thing with some ele's G6 to be sure it wasn't just my unit, and same thing. Think maybe has something to do with my Sony Xplod Car Audio system?

I have the app disabled as I don't use it and have no issues with my car's bluetooth. My guess is it is your car's audio system.
