Anyone have issues with the Nexus 5x screen cracking unexpectedly?

My Nexus 5x developed a hairline crack diagonally across the screen unexpectedly around the 2.5 months of ownership. I bought the device brand new from Google store and have always treated my phone as if it were my baby. Never once dropped it nor bumped it against anything. I only kept it in my front pocket as I always have even with my previous Nexus 5 which I had dropped many times and not once broke. I suspect there is some type of defect with nexus 5x design and/or glass.

Once device getting a hairline crack does not indicate a defect or design issue.
If anything it could be a bad batch or a bad part. OR you could have leaned against something that put pressure on the device causing the crack. Its more likely that or a bad part then a defect with design.
