Anyone have the free Shazaam app before the new 2.0?

I downloaded shazaam on my new Evo, and it was after the July 13th where it was no longer unlimited tags. Does anyone have the apk old version before 2.0?

i think they said that if you had it before you had to pay for it, you don't have to pay for it....

They said if you had it back before July 13th you would have unlimited tagging. Which what's funny, is I did have it on my first Evo since launch. I just got a replacement and re-installed it, but now I only get 7 tags a month, or pay 2.99 for unlimited.

I had the same problem. Had to do a hard reset and when it reinstalled it was the new version

I had it before the 13th, and when I updated it still switched me to the free version. Emailed tech support, still no response 5 days later. Really turned me off Shazam. So much so I went and purchased Soundhound last night. More options, faster tagging. Im content now.

If you need to use it more than the free version allows, maybe you should pay for it and support the developer. Do you work for free?

I paid for it. I'm happy to support the developers and an app that I really like, especially when its only a few dollars.

Boy, people really have a sense of entitlement. "Shazam used to be free, and now it's not, so I'm going to pay someone who copied Shazam, instead of the person who created it in the first place." Or I'll just pirate it instead.

Anyone who thinks $3.00 for a sophisticated app is too much has no idea what programming is all about. And anyone who thinks all software should be free should go ask their boss for a pay cut. After all, if programmers don't deserve to be paid, why do you?

It's not a big deal to me. I don't do that many tags a month. Maybe 2-4 a month.
