anyone having pixel 6 issues

I've received two-step verifications on my phone with no issues. I'm on Verizon, unlocked phone from Google store. Maybe something with the carrier settings?

Have you tried sending a sms to the five digit number? Go to messages and start a message using the five digits of the sender for the address; then in the subject type STOP. If it is active you will receive an automated message saying you can resume the IDs again by typing (usually) START.

I had to do this with my wells fargo account when I switched to the 4XL, have not had to do it with the updates and even this last update I did not bring my backup SMS to the phone after 12 was loaded. But WF was able to send the code with no problem.

Worth a try.

Phone does not receive two factor identification texts, as if they are blocked. I receive everything else, but texts from all 4 and 5 digit numbers.

Wait a minute. Are you on Verizon? Is it an unlocked P6 from Google or a Verizon P6 from Google. Either way it's CDMA less and you need to call Verizon to have them configure it CDMA less. It sound like the same issue as a Pixel 5a on Verizon. Some text worked on my wifes P5a others didn't until they configured it as a CDMA less phone.

I see no CDMA listed at all on either P6 phones in Googles spec sheet.

I have both "tap to check phone" and "lift to check phone" turned off, but the AOD still comes on when I tap the phone, or even when I tap the table that the phone is on.

Good to know I'm not the only one then. AOD just randomly comes on if I either move the phone, or pick it up etc. So strange. Hopefully it's software fixable.

I had issues with the gestures where it wouldn't respond when swiping up to go home and when I would swipe up and hold it would only show the app I was currently using. Being so annoyed with it I switched to the 3 buttons instead. After about a day I changed back to gestures and it's been working flawlessly. Still haven't figured out what happened, but at least it stopped so all is good.

No trouble here, the phone was delivered on Saturday afternoon.

I haven't tested every bell and whistle, but everything seems to be working the way it is supposed to.

I will be testing adaptive charging tonight, and that seems to be a really good idea for long-term battery life.

Magic Erase could use some tweaks, as could the fingerprint sensor, but I'm sure software will address both of those.

All in all I am delighted with the phone, and I have bought and used Nexus 4, Pixel 2, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a for wife, and Pixel 6. After the Nexus 4 (which would shut off at random times) I wandered off into iPhone land, but hurried back to the Pixel 2, never to return to Apple.

So they really have to drop a system update. Just had a situation where the line at the bottom of the screen that's always supposed to be there was just missing. Then I couldn't bring up the running apps with the swipe and hold gesture. Had to reboot the phone. Not sure if it's an Android thing or pixel 6 thing.

Anyone having an issue where in pitch dark, tap to wake doesn't work? Have to hit side button to engage?

Makes me picture Digital Wellbeing is saying "You should be asleep! No tap to wake for you!'

I have both "tap to check phone" and "lift to check phone" turned off, but the AOD still comes on when I tap the phone, or even when I tap the table that the phone is on.

So Google tells me this is "working as intended". I don't think it makes sense that the screen lights up if you don't have AOD on, but they tell me it's a feature.

I'm a YouTube premium member and I'm having lots of issues from Bluetooth headphones not connecting to both headphones (other apps connect and play fine) also video and audio being out of sync by a big deal like maybe 2 seconds out, the app straight crashing, picture in picture bugs where I can't press anything on the screen while it's in pip and it straight stopping playing I've reset the phone and the headphones cleared data etc etc I have 3 other devices where it works without issues, why would the problem with googles app be worse on googles phone?

Hmm wonder if this a pixel 6 issue , on my Pixel 6 pro i dont experience this .

As mentioned I don't have these issues on my other devices but it could be android 12, for reference I have wf1000xm4 and wh1000xm3 and the issues happen on both pairs when paired to the pixel, but not at all on other devices, LG V30 android 9 HP touchpad android 7.1 Samsung S8+ android 9, I have screenshots of when it crashes and asks to resume and when it stops responding in pip mode and when it fails to restart after calls

I have Sony headphones, the 1000XM4's. Sometimes my left earbud cuts off and sound only comes out the right ear bud. When I put both buds in the case, the left bud reconnects.

I'm only having this problem with my P6P.
