Anyone Having Second Thoughts About Buying The G3?

I love the Z2 but after I bought the Display was disappointing compared to my S5. It was always the first thing my family and friends noticed. I guess it's the reason why I sold it...to buy the G3.

Pro S5

How would you say they compared, side by side? Is the difference mainly an LCD vs OLED thing do you think?

....I mean the Z2 and the S5.

I wanna go to the M8 so bad (instead of waiting for this phone). But that crappy camera just turns me off

I can tell you guys that IF LG releases this phone here in the good'ol U S of A with the 805......all hell is going to break loose!! I will climb and stomp over people to get my hands on it, thats for sure!! lol! :p

....and every time you take a pic with it you will be reminded just how bad it is. By then the G3 will be out and you may be kicking yourself.
It's only a few weeks away, be strong, LOL.

In the same boat. I have been wanting the M8 but once they cancelled the M8 prime I began looking at the g3. Right now I am holding out and will probably get the g3.

The Z2's display was just washed out compared to the S5 which is brighter and sharper.

I have the M8 currently. I hate it. It was a step backwards from my G2. I've been patiently waiting for the G3, but I've been getting closer and closer to purchasing a G2 off Swappa and selling my M8. In fact, I will probably do that this week. Then I will make a decision on the G3 later. This way I don't have to purchase one on launch day.

I agree and I think M8 is overrated simply due to its metallic unibody and fast camera speed. It's being loved by many tech blogs including AC for those reasons. But that's about it. It's just couple of drops away from losing its nice look it's awkwardly tall with huge bezel. Camera is fast but has some white balance and exposure issue with highlights. I'd put both S5, G3 ahead of it in rating and top spot will go to which one has better battery life.

still want the G3... i have considered changing my mind but then i think what else is out there... nothing much...

i want a bigger screen ...

worst comes to worse... i buy it and sell it in the fall for the note 4 or the G3 Prime (if it exists).

Same here....G3 or nothing at this point, then wait for the Note4 (we are a sick bunch! LOL)

So I picked up a G2 last night off Swappa to tide me over until the G3. Now I won't be at the Verizon store on launch day. At least, I don't plan on it. Well, maybe not...

I had the M8 for about 10 days, then returned it and am now impatiently waiting for the G3. I like HTC in general (have had two), but the camera just wasn't cutting it for me. The shutter speed (i.e. click, take picture, click, take another picture) was indeed awesome, best I've seen, but the pics just weren't a high enough res for me. The G3 also seems to be getting pretty good reviews in the low light department (one reason I wanted the M8), and I really want a removable SD card and removable battery, so the G3 seems perfect. In terms of shutter time, after my Thunderbolt, most cameras this year would be an improvement. I thought about the S5 but didn't like its camera interface.

I know what you mean about the camera. None of these HTC wonderkids believe it when I tell them that the 4MP resolution is terrible. I've taken side by side shots of the exact location with the M8 and G2 and posted them on the M8 threads and had people get mad at me and tell me I'm wrong or the lighting was different, or whatever. The M8's shutter speed is ridiculously responsive and fast. Yup. But who cares when the pictures it takes are not up to the quality I demand from a premium device that I gave $600 for. My 2 pennies.

I'm holding off until the new iPhones are released to make my decision. I'm still pretty happy with my G2 (except for the pesky phone dialer using battery when not in use!!!) so I might hold off on the new iPhone and the G3 and wait for the next crop of phones).

I've mentally already bought the G3 so I'm pretty much committed to buying at this point :)

I tried a G2, I still liked my Note 2 better. As for the new iPhone 6, I really am not digging the leaked photos. I may end up skipping this round myself. The G3 is interesting as I really love IPS displays (My Z10 is beautiful) but they are hard on batteries.

However all the other specs are pretty close to the Note 3, I'm not sure it would really be an upgrade for me?
