Anyone having trouble with their Maxx2 not connecting to devices through Gizmohub?

I bought my sons Verizon watches for Christmas. One is a gizmopal2 and the other is a gizmogadget. I can't get either to connect to the parent app (GizmoHub). I've spoken to Verizon customer service and been to the store several times. It works on other phones but not mine. I have deleted and reinstalled the app but with no results. The reps at the store checked my settings to make sure it wasn't set up incorrectly and that is not the case. I'm hoping someone else has a solution because it's now January 10th and my kids still can't use their Christmas presents.
 
Welcome to Android Central! I'm not too familiar with those watches -- do they need to be paired via Bluetooth with the phone first in order to connect to GizmoHub? Where in the connection process does it seem to be failing?
 
Yes, they connect through bluetooth. You put in all of the information into the app and then you wait for them to connect. Unfortunately it never connects and then it tells you different troubleshooting options like is the watch on etc...
 
Is there something you have to do on the watch to initiate the pairing process? On many Bluetooth devices, there's a Connect button you have to press for a few seconds to make it discoverable.
 
I don't think so. You just have to make sure that they're on. There are only two buttons on the watches. One to call, one to hang up.
