My wife's S4 received KitKat at least a month ago. I was wondering if anyone heard when the Nore 2 will get it.

International version is getting them now. Who knows when everyone else will get them

I wouldn't wait. I would just root. It took me forever to do it but now that I did, I wouldn't go back.

The 7105 version is out now. It runs smoothly. The great devs at XDA have brought a rooted version to us for the AT&T Note 2. Hopefully the official version comes for the AT&T model

How would I go about getting that? Also, will it mess up my phone or anything? Thanks for the information!

Has anyone heard anything??

Kit Kat for the Sprint Note 2 is just rolling out today. The Sprint Note 2 got 4.3 on Nov. 23, and the AT&T Note 2 got it on Dec. 17. So if you go by that timeline, we probably will get Kit Kat in, yup, a little over 3 weeks or so.

If you have the AT&T version of the Note 2, you would need to root your phone and flash this ROM to your phone. Rooting voids your warranty (FYI)

Which rom?

All these ROMs are at XDA:
The stock ROM is called EZKat.
The other one is called SlimFast (based on EZKat).
Another one is Ditto Note3 (which is what I flashed. It has Note 3 features and S5 features)

All great ROMs

Verizon was a lot quicker this time around than they were with 4.3. I hope that doesn't mean that AT&T is going to be slower. Still, I wouldn't be surprised to see it in a week or so.

My ATT Note II received a security policy update this morning. This policy update preceded the Kitkat update on other Samsung devices, so we may be getting very close to the update roll out.

Getting it now that I'm home and connected to wifi.
