Anyone here move from the Note 8 to the S9 Plus and not sure about it?

Bought the S8+ because Note 7 fiasco. Not buying another phone (or computer) w/out a stylus.

not sure about the axon 7 but s9+ compared to note 8 the sound on s9+ is a lot better and louder
The speakers are noticeably better/louder. It's actually starting coming from the note 8 as I have a tendency to hold the phone on such a way that I block the bottom speaker and I always have to readjust. Now it's just not an issue. The top speaker isn't quite as loud as the bottom fitting one, but it's facing right at you which seems to make all the difference. Overall I love it.

I miss the ability to long press an icon and dismiss notification badges. That functionality is missing, but I'm guessing that has more to do with Samsung's Oreo tweaks than anything else. Still an annoyance when you find an app behaving oddly.

As far as battery life is concerned I'd say it's comparable, with one caveat. Battery life on the note 8 was such a problem for me that I almost always ran the phone at a 1080 resolution instead of quadHD. Even so I'd still be down to 30-20% by end of day (10-11pm). I'm getting similar performance now but I always run the S9+ in full performance mode. Full resolution, full brightness, sometimes in WiFi sometimes in 4g.

In the end I'm happy because I can enjoy my phone's capabilities in full for an entire day. A 20 to 30 minute top up can easily see me ending my day in the 50% battery range. Also worth noting, my day starts at 4 am and I usually call it a night by 11 pm, with a 2-3 hour siesta in the afternoon. For what it's worth that's the answer I have for you.

Is the battery life better? Most likely, but I couldn't say by how much.

I still have both and prefer the camera on the N8. Still a sharper picture in low light vs the S9+. Everything else is a plus especially the Dual Speaker and Fingerprint sensor. If they fix the S9 camera with a software update then it'll be better.

I do kinda miss the Pen... thats about all, the S9+ is faster... Both the Note8 and S9+ Oreos feel the same, look the same, are pretty much the same... I was on Note8 Oreo for Months, the leaked builds, getting new builds daily at one point...

Amy, if you used a JOD why did you have to use a down payment? Don't you just turn in the phone your using? Gosh, I don't remember paying any thing when I used my jump but I think there are 2 different kinda of jumps, the one I am on you can only jump 3 times a year and not every 30 days, maybe that's the difference?

Jump on Demand in 2018 has stricter requirements with Tmobile. The S9Plus is now $120 down unless you have been with them for at least 3 years. I'm on about 2 years so I have the $120 down. Would be much easier without it, but overall I like Tmobile's service and flexibility with EIPS, bills, features, etc.
