Anyone here not using a screen protector for their Note 8?

sometimes none (tech21 case) and sometimes the one built in to the supcase (unicorn beetle pro). no issues at all with either... like both cases alot..

I recently stopped using a screen protector and I love seeing the display for all it's Glory now. Don't think I'll ever use one again at all.

So, this Ghost Guard is probably snake oil, but I will say it gives a great finish and takes away fingerprints. Amazingly stops the fingerprints. That in itself has me being a fan. I still do not know (think) it will protect against scratches. The best thing, it's like a naked screen. I lost nothing. I will not be putting another piece of glass over this screen -- Whitedome or otherwise. I didn't realize how much I had adjusted my usage to work around the ledge of glass a screen protector makes at the top and bottom and sides of my phone until it wasn't their. So, in the spirit of this thread, I will not be putting another solid screen protector on again. But, for $20 and the ability to cover 4 phones, 2 tablets, 2 watches, and a pair of reading glasses, I will spend the $20 again in a few months just for the fingerprint reduction.

For those that do not use a screen protector, how long do you typically have/use a phone? I've never had/used a phone for less than 2 years. My N8 will be no different. I'm not convinced that going that long without a SP would be the best thing to do. However, if you only have a phone for a few months or even just a year, going without a SP doesn't seem like a bad idea.

I had the Spigen Tough ARMOR CASE, with Yootech screen protectors, worked great for my other phones, not so much with the note 8.
Went to the completely sealed I-Blason case, would have been great, but touch sensitivity started to fade fast.
Rocking my Spigen Tough Armor case again with no screen protector.
I have 2 boxes of the Whitestone Dome setup, sitting here, debating on whether I want it on my phone or not.
My son is here from school, so, I may have him put it on or take it with him back to college and sell it.
I rocked phone's in the past naked before, and if it's on me, I'll just get the screen replaced if I break it.
As long as it's unused, my son can trade them in for the LG v30 plus kit.
All phone's are naked.
3 note 8's and a S8.
My son has v30 plus and he has something called Supersheildz screen protectors on his. He likes it, I hate tempered glass.
Something is better than nothing, but I'm just reserved to just go without it on the note 8. I'm even contemplating on never using a screen protector again on any phone. I've just got comfortable without one.
My G5 plus I had for awhile, I never had a screen protector on it. Just a Incipio case. Never had any issues even after a bunch of drops. A few tiny scratches is all, but I know I could sell it if I want.
260.00 to replace a cracked screen on the note 8, Just food for thought.

I've never used a screen protector on any of my phones. I can't imaging why anyone would want to mess up their screen with one. The screens are made to be easy to clean and they are. I also have no use for cases. Why ruin a beautiful, slim phone with one of those ugly boxes?

I have sort of given up on screen protectors for a while, I install them, they look good, work great...... for a while..
then again, I ended up with 2 Notes because of Samsung crap customer service so have written off the expense at this stage, if I **** up one then I have the other one sort of thinking.
still.... that was 1300 quid on phones in two months.... not happy Samsung.. if you're listening

Cases make sense since this phone is as slippery as a wet bar of soap and are very fragile. All it takes is one drop to ruin your "beautiful" phone. I look at phones for function, it's odd to me to call a phone beautiful

I did the liquid nano coating when I got my phone 2 months ago and still not a scratch which tells me that it works given the softness of Gorilla Glass 5.

Have a Spigen hybrid / winged defender combo on mine atm.

My phones get a rough life generally and I would rather trade off the sp / case negatives than damage the phone.
I usually keep my devices a max of 1 year. But like them to be pristine at selling time.

No screen protectors. Had the phone since September 14th and not a single scratch. Not needed.

have one on my spare one for just in case incidents but my daily runner is naked since day one really, every time I put one on it last max a day and I get ****.d off with it

I tried without but I noticed after I cleaned it that there are a bunch of very fine scratches on the edge primarily and some on the face.

I didn't at first, until I found a hairline scratch in my screen. My wife found some 8 dollar cheapo online for her Note 8 and the father in law's S8. The sent two Note 8 screen protectors and they arrived just in time for me to notice the scratch. I figured I'd use the extra one until I ordered one, but this thing has been flawless. It fits good, with an Otterbox case on the phone. The only time it gave me pause was when I took the case off and put it back on in the dark. The case lifted a small part of the corner up. I quickly figured out the problem and fixed it.

I've never used a screen protector on any smartphone I've owned, dating back about 10 years. Note8 included. I barely ever even use a case. Don't like how ugly or bulky they make smartphones look and feel.
