Anyone here not using a screen protector for their Note 8?

No screen protector. I do use a case unless I'm at my desk or sitting around at home.

That being said, I did end up with a "scratch" on my screen. It doesn't really look like a scratch but it's not going away after cleaning the screen so I guess that's what it us. I can only see it with the screen off, but it ticks me off. I have no idea how it happened. I don't get scratched screens very often. I can live with it though. I still wouldn't use a screen protector. Never liked them on my Note devices.

No screen protector here. Tried one for a couple days on my Note 5, and it was good, but I just love the phones too much in their original form.

I had both supplied by AT&T. The 1st one had areas that took pounding to get activation. I saw him put it on, really cleaned & pressed it on. The 2nd one was better on sensitivity. The phone slid off the couch onto the tile floor. The screen protector cracked & flew off the phone! The curve is a PIA.

Have the liquid diamond one in house, just need to put it on.

Be careful on alignment. I put mine on and for some reason it must not have landed correctly (no I did not touch it at anytime till after the UV light treatment) because the glass was covering my front camera 1/2 way and made for lousy pictures. I have a replacement screen, but a little leary on putting it on.

I went two years with my N4 unprotected, and realized the 4 was a beast of a design. I generally take good care of my phones, and the 4 ended up with only a few blemishes. Really did come to appreciate how solid of a design it was.

As for the 8, I've already chipped the glass on the back of the phone. Will post something soon, as I'm thinking of ways I can repair the area.

I too just got a chip on the back of my new Note 8 that is 1 month old. I really want a screen protector and a nice case but the problem is that I have been unable to find a wireless charging capable case. I don't know it's quite frustrating for sure

I can’t go without a screen protector on my Note 8, I dropped a dumbbell on my phone that had a Whitestone Dome glass screen protector and well.
Check it out. :/

Excellent video! A couple of things though. 1st question is about your case. Is it wireless charging capable? I've been having trouble finding a GOOD case that works with screen protector and is a wireless charging capable case. If so where did you get it?

Lastly you may want to change the battery in your smoke detector lol.

Thanks

I ended up with a Spigen plastic case. It feels protected, but not overly obtrusive. The still feels really fragil, like a glass slipper, and have no doubt I'll crack the screen at some point....

Guess it's how Samsung gets out of those costly trade-ins going forward.

My Note does not leave it's padded cell - carpet house. 2nd phone is my carry about with TPU but neither have cover, just case.

I'm not. always used to use zagg and their qaulity dropped severely in 2013 and never got better so I stopped buying them a long time ago.

Don't miss them.

If you're careful with your phone there's no need.

I just got my note 8 today. I was in a good mood so I thought why not try a protector. $50 later.....yes you get the extra peace of mind, but it kills the experience of the phone.

If there was a way to bump up the sensitivity it wouldn't be as bad, but the zagg one I got makes the screen unresponsive. Doing simple tasks can become pretty frustrating. Especially on the edges, it just doesn't work well.

After 1 day I'm already done with it. I hate to waste $50 like that but I'm about to rip the thing off.

6months with no screen protection right now, just a really good case with a large bottom and top lip. :)

I've had my phone since day 1 and have never used a screen protector, my wife has one on her S8+ and I've changed it due to cracking 4 times. I don't like the way the screen acts with one on.

After years of swearing by protectors, I've got to say I now prefer just a case. I am fairly careful and if I crack the screen, it still costs less than a new device. I prefer the phone without a protector like it was designed to be.

I have had my Note 8 since launch and the only thing I have used is the rhinoshield crashguard. No back or screen protector

I've always wanted to try one but was too afraid. Do they really work?
