Anyone in regret yet ?

So I just forward my yahoo email to my google email. Working a lot better now.

Awesome! If you still want more integration you can setup gmail to actually check the messages itself, this will let you have a "send from" option where you can choose to send from your gmail or yahoo, but through gmail.

I'm glad though!

This is my first Android phone and I have no regrets what so ever. This phone and Android just keep getting better and better the more things I find. I love it!

Honestly I agree about 5 hours but I really liked it less the more I used it. I am a pretty basic phone guy. I really can't get over the iTunes integration plus synching bookmarks, etc. Also the loss of the ipod through my car nav hurt more than I thought it would.

If google develops a program similar to iTunes I may give it a try again but until then it's a deal breaker for me no matter how many hours I use it.

This site tells you some useful info for the EVO and shows you how to sync with itunes.. Hope this helps. iTunes Syncl

also you can give double twist a try..

I slightly regret not getting one of the Evos with the pre-installed InvisibleShield,

x2!! I wound up w/ 1 small dog hair near the top (outside of screen viewing area) and some small piece of lint near the bottom - but that is w/i the screen viewing area!!

I was using a micro-fiber cloth and one of those compressed air can things to prep it - and still wound up w/ a freagin dog hair under the protector!

I used to have no problem putting these things on, but now i'm getting too old for this #$@! lol Next time I'll definitely be paying someone else to do it.

I love my EVO, but I can understand the mention of push notifications (for iPhone users). I do like being able to multitask in the true sense of the word.

However, an app like AIM is far better suited to push notifications (a la iPhone implementation) than leaving it running in the background. It definitely uses more battery life by always running on the phone than a simple notification being pushed to your phone to alert you to a new message.

Having said that I do not miss my iPhone and am more than happy with my purchase!

I am in regret seeing as how the first trip to the store they forgot to program the phone, then the second trip they did, phone makes calls but now i cannot use the data, update profile and update PLR isnt working at all

WTF

I had a Pre and then the Hero. I now have the EVO and this phone is just SWEET! Truly an awesome device!

Yeah I have been playing with the settings. I'm getting the hang of it now. :)

Well I came fr WEBOS N I loved it no offense, but I have no regrets for the EVO cause I knw that is like anything else out there. We just have to get used to it, I played with it all night n I'm starting to get all those little tricks, I still think WEBOS is better but this phone is bad a s s

same here, I just came over from WebOS (and precentral.net) as well.. Im loving my evo so far but android is just not as sleek or intuitive as WebOS.. i Kinda miss it but i think i made the right move. Oh EVO Battery > Pre Battery...

Have you tried holding down the home key? It brings up your last 6 used apps. Using that I found I can switch apps as fast (if not faster) than my pre.

that's good to know but it still doesn't sound as fast or fluid as sliding from card to card woth the apps you want to use.

I love my EVO and i loved my hero but the crazy thing is??.did everyone who returned their phone read up on the phone before wasting the money? I ask bc ppl are surprised about android not doing things that the iphone does..its a different OS..but I guess it is bandwagon ppl who wanted the phone bc everyone was hyped about it and figured they would show it off?im just sayin

That's nice, but "sounds" like doesn't mean anything. You gotta handle it and find out.

Exactly, when I had my pre I didn't like to keep too many cards open (didn't want to deal with the infamous "too many cards open"). So for me, holding down the home button in android is more efficient. But it all comes down to how you use the phone. One needs to give both a try to appreciate how they work. When I had only used WebOS I always heard how android is clunky with multi-tasking but was pleasantly surprised when I started using android.

ok its been one full day since i got the EVO and im still loving it. im coming from the pre and the evo just runs around the pre on battery life. sure the webos is alittle more fine tuned then android but i remember when i got the pre and all its flaws until the updates starting rolling out. so give it some time for google to start doing little updates before ya start bashing on this phone, cause for me this phone is great

I think we can all agree that no one phone is for everyone and you have to go with the phone that works for you. I've had Treos, blackberrys, Pre, even the horrid Instinct.

If I were a business user and email and battery life was my main concern I'd stick with blackberry. The Pre is much more user friendly for those not familiar with smart phones. The iPhone is "no thinking required" which is good for a lot of people. My favorite thing about the Evo is the screen, but I love Android because the possibilities are endless.
