Anyone Jumping Ship from S8 or S8+ to a Newer Release?

Left S8 Plus to Note 8 just because I've always been a note user. Otherwise, S8 Plus is as good from performance perspective. If you never had a note before, then don't convince yourself you need a note. Stick with your S8. It's a good phone.

I'm happy with my S8+, though it's not even 1 month old yet Upgraded from an S7 Edge. I did play around with a display model Note 8 and though there were some really cool features, I made my right choice getting an S8+ instead as I didn't see myself using a lot of the Note 8 features other than possibly the stylus.

If I was in the market for a new device, it's so late in the year it would be a no brainer to eliminate the iPhone 10 especially since there won't be sufficient stock until the new year. By then, Samsung and other vendors should have the Snapdragon 946 or higher CPU available. I am actually surprised the Note 8 doesn't have it, but historically, if not mistaken, the Note always have the same CPU as the regular Galaxy line. I am not impressed that Google didn't bother with the latest CPU available. Maybe in a several years they will change their architecture. Something tells me the XL2 won't be a strong seller. In the tech industry, Google, Samsung, Apple already know what will be in their phones a minimum of three generations from now.

Finally, the 10 is a "beta" phone in my opinion. Apple visions this device to be what all future smartphones will be. In other words, next year the iPhone 9 will have the same features as the 10 (X) at a much reduced price. The 9 will surely be less buggy compared to the 10 which is Apple's new generation smartphone.

I was perfectly happy with my S8+, however, when my sister's Note 8 arrived in the mail, I just had to get it. I'll be sticking with this one for a long while before I upgrade again. This is the first time I am a Note user and so far I am loving It!

I went to the Note 8 and for me, it's the ideal phone. Now, I would like to check out the V30 but just for fun , if I could find it on display somewhere
