Anyone jumping ship to the S4?

When I first picked up my DNA, used, my plan was to get something to hold me over until the S4 came out. However, now that I have used this phone, I just don't feel the urge to move on. But that's me. Is anyone considering the S4 now that you've seen it?

It kinda seems like Samsung's response to the DNA. Other than a superior camera (Sony lens, 13MP) and better battery life, there really isn't much improvement over the DNA.

Depending on where I am a year from now, and if I can sell my DNA at a reasonable price, I'll probably get a Note 3. My mom's Note 2 lasts literally 3-4x longer than my DNA--with all toggles on, something I could never even dream of with my DNA. I like large screens, and the S-Pen is surprisingly useful.

How is that worth it?

You'd have to pay the manufacturer's price to pull it off, no?

Because I picked up the DNA used, off contract, I still have an upgrade. So, I could sell my DNA to cover the cost of the S4, if I wanted, which I don't. Like you say, it's just not worth it. :D

I might. The bluetooth rarely connects to my 2011 BMW. That and when I lose signal(underground metro) it takes 10-15 minutes to regain signal after I'm back up. Only phone I've ever seen do this

Since I'm a gadget junky, I'd probably get one to try if anything so I can try the nifty camera features. Very curious about the battery life.

However, I still think the DNA looks superior in aesthetics.

Then again, I may just wait to see what comes out of Google I/O. Only a few months away...

Never I hate Samsung phones, after seeing the display,Amlod cannot compare to super LCD,,HTC makes a solid quality phone,.touchwiz has way to many cartoon gimmick features.

It doesn't connect to my prius either. Sucks, but not a big enough deal to make me jump ship. As for the signal loss, have you tried getting a replacement? I have never lost signal, above or below ground, and I frequently took the metro when my husband was at Walter reed.

Just remember the S4 uses a pentile screen. Yeah it's 1080p but who cares if it's grainy and whites look the worst.

If you want a good Samsung device pick up the Note 2. It has a true RGB display. I'm really confused as to why Samsung would do that. The Note 2 has such a great display and then they put a pentile display on there new flagship device.

I'm pretty much a big fan of Samsung but if I had to choose between the S4 , HTC One or Note 2. I would go with the Note 2 then HTC One. I couldn't handle the grainy pentile display on the S4.

These are the kind of things that really make me wonder sometimes. If anything they could have released the S4 with a Super AMOLED HD Plus screen in 720p. Just the fact that the Note 2's display looks better then the 1080p display on the S4 is crazy.

When you look at you're phone, you're looking at the display. So that should be the first thing they make sure is perfect. Then they can worry about everything else. I'm just very disappointed in Samsung I guess.

The s4 is pretty underwhelming to me. There's some neat software things, but nothing that would enhance my experience much more than my dna. I feel this round samsung was playing catch up... But then again, all of these phones are going to start hitting a plateau in terms of technology here very soon anyway

The only draw for the S4 is that it has a substantially larger battery. I hate the battery life on my DNA, but I am usually near a computer, so it stays charged most of the time anyway.

The DNA aesthetically looks better in my opinion, but it is just a personal opinion.

The S4 looks good, though. I am also not concerned that the S4 can have more storage because I use cloud services for my storage. My phone has almost nothing in it other than very light weight apps.

Just left the S3, Verizon swapped me for the DNA due to constant GPS issues.
So no, done with Samsung for now. Also, really hate the form factor of the S4 (S2, S3, Note2).....all the same as far as I am concerned.
My S3 always felt cheap and "plasticy". Nevertheless, millions will be sold...all hail "The Next Big Thing".
I really like the DNA (even though it's only been a week). Just feels and looks better. Software and speed comparable to the S4......oh yeah, and the GPS on the DNA works perfectly.
I think Samsung would have reconsidered the S4 design and release if they would have known about the HTC One.
Yet I do not believe that the HTC One will have an overly adverse effect on S4 sales. People keep buying the iPhone in spite of it's crappy OS and so many better Android phones out there.

I haven't looked into a replacement. The bluetooth is a much bigger issue. I commute about 50 minutes one way, so not have music the entire time is getting frustrating. For whatever reason, no matter many how many reboots, it just won't connect.

I find it hard to believe a 2011 BMW didn't come with a radio, or cd player. ;-)

Funny, I'm having serious GPS/battery issues with my DNA. When you said Verizon swapped you, do you mean you went in-store and were able to exchange/replace your device there? I'd love to be able to get a new/refurb in-store, rather than having to wait weeks and pay shipping for HTC to fix mine.. I don't think I could go back to my backup feature phone lol

Do you have an auxiliary jack?

Didn't even think of that. It has multiple USB ports. I'll have to check....its been a long time since I've used one of those. I've never had a bluetooth issue with any other phone. I find it really weird it' so intermittent.
