Anyone jumping to 32GB?

All of the rumors indicate it being the same price. At the very worst, the 16GB will not be going up in price, and almost certainly will be going down.

If I were you, assuming it's worth doing without a tablet for a week, I'd take it back and get a refund and see what next week brings. The absolute worst case is that you'll end up re-buying what you already have for the exact same price. But I really think you'll get a much better deal next week, whether it be a reduced price on the 16GB or an affordable difference (or same price) upgrade to the 32GB.

It all depends on whether you want to just continue enjoying the toy now, or give up the toy for a week in the hopes of future-proofing your purchase a bit.

Of course, you might be without it for more than a week. If the 32GB comes out and the 16GB drops to 200 clams, expect the supply chain to clog up for a week or two because there'll be a bunch of new demand. It won't be as constrained as the Nexus 7 original launch, but there's enough extra shiny that a new batch of people might suddenly get interested.

That's the same thing I was thinking. I went ahead and returned it since I was still able to. I'll be without it for a week, but I'll just use my iPad 3 and other Android tablet to help pass the time. Can't wait until next week, because I'm already missing the Nexus 7. It was my go to device. Looking forward to picking up the 32GB model if the rumors hold true.

No need because I have plenty of cloud storage.

Nope. I use mine for surfing the web, streaming music, as a windshield-mounted GPS, reading e-books, and for casual gaming. Plenty of space left, plus I rooted mine and I have a dongle and several thumb drives should I have the need for more storage than I have available.

It's always so tempting to get the latest and greatest. However, I couldn't be happier with my Nexus 7, it does everything I need a 7 inch tablet to do, very well. Just like my Galaxy Nexus will be the first phone that I keep until it dies.

Long live the Nexus!

Got my 16GB a week after the $25 Play credit expired. :(

Thought I might return it and get the 32GB, but gave up waiting for it. Sure, there will be announcements next week, but then you have to wait for availability and everyone will rush to buy them. So, that would be even more waiting.

The N7 is a cool, very portable little machine and I'm glad I opened it! Google will just have to come up with more goodies for me to upgrade to next year.

I have the 16gb and quite happy with the tablet. I am disappointed with Google who will not honor an upgrade to those who bought them early. I would rather have the extra storage than the $25 Google credit.

When I get the money I plan on getting the 32 gb model and giving the 16 to my wife to replace her acer a100. I like to game and these darn games nowadays are requiring almost 2gb of space. Until then I'll manage by using titanium backup and a usb drive to store backups of games on

The main reason I won't upgrade is that I don't want to lose all my app/game data. Unfortunately I didn't root so I don't think I can backup. I would love 32GB though as even with 16, I feel like I have to watch how much I cram on. Still, I've got some pretty big apps and games and I haven't yet run out.

If the 16GB new will be $200 instead of $250, the best I could hope for would probably be $180-ish--not including listing fees. I'd have to pay $250 + tax/etc for a new 32GB, which would put me out at least $80 for 16GB more space. without glorious extra features like expandable memory or a rear cam, it's really not worth the cost or hassle.

I'm just a little miffed they dropped the price by 20% just literally a few months after release. I guess that's the one good thing with apple--you pay $200 for an ipod and you know that price is solid. you buy a ipad3, you know it's solid for a year.

I considered upgrading, but I really don't think I need more than 16GB. I'm usually connected to WiFi or teathered to my Galaxy Nexus with unlimited data. I did start working on a case for the N7 that integrates extra storage, with OTG, and a micro USB connector that is flush against the bottom bezel when plugged in. My only obstacle right now is charging. I don't know if it would support charging while OTG is in use if I added a micro USB port to the case itself and ran the 5v wires in to the usb port at the bottom as well... I think a supplemental upgrade to the N7 would be a nice alternative to completely replacing a two month old device.

I'm not going to replace my 16GB with a 32GB. For under $25, I just boght an OTG cable and a 32GB SanDisk Cruzer Fit flash drive from Amazon.

I just went to my local Argos store here in the UK. The gift guide advertises the 32GB as if it is for sale right now, so I tried to purchase. Was told it is out of stock. They informed me that they will be getting them in stock on the 25th. I will be going back on 25th to try again.

I'm seriously considering returning it, getting the refund and going out to get the 32g unit. The only issue I've had with the N7 is that I couldn't store music on it to listen to when I didn't have access to the cloud. I have a 32g microSD in my phone that holds enough of my music so 32g on the N7 ought to be enough. 32g just makes it a little closer to perfect.

Personally I'm waiting for the iFixIt tear down of the 32GB model. I want to see if it's feasible to do a memory chip switcheroo as I'm handy with a soldering iron.
Hopefully just a short order from Digikey to the upgrade rescue. :D

Shame too as we just got the 16GB models a bit over a month ago. Knew the 32GB model was coming, but the wife was anxious to get them. Happy wife = Happy Life...

Just got back from Argos, surprise surprise, they still don't have it in stock. This employee told me they are expecting a delivery on the 25th of November, not October as I was previously told. Although the automated stock checker did say it was available, unlike last time when it said it was out of stock. That did get my hopes up a little.

Tried Comet too, no luck. Will try Tesco later on today.
