There should be replacement tips in the same package that was in. That is the tool to remove the old tip.

For OP's benefit - they're in the picture attached to the tool, the white and black thing.

If you find the tip is wearing, or if you prefer one hardness to the other, you can swap them. Some of us long term Note users have a whole collection of the replacement tips at this point, assuming they would all fit still (I'd guess so).

pull stray nose hairs, torture you dog while he's sleeping, play alligator, and... pull your nibs out so you can replace them. :D

PSA: Samsung's user manual is full of useful tidbits on matters like this (this one can be found on p. 35).

even those of us who know still forget to RTFM from time to time. when I downloaded the Note 10 manual I realized I never did with the Note 8, so I sure didn't read it. I've already done a bunch of reading of this manual though.

Hmm, interesting. Must be a new thing within the past few generations. I used to have the Note 2, 3, and 4, but don't recall ever having extra pen tips for those models.

So it's a replacement tip in case the stock tip on the stylus pen breaks?

They wear out depending on how much you use the pen. I have never had to replace the tip though in any S Pen because I don't use the pen all that often, mosty just to make screen caps.

I don't remember being able to replace the Note 3 tips but for the sure the Note 4 you could. Now Samsung includes only 2 tips. Before you would get about 6.

This is true. I still have all the tips in the boxes from my old Note 4 and Note Edge, Note 5 and Note 8 and 9. They used to include several in the package and now it's only two. Maybe they know people rarely have to change them.

2/3/4 definitely came with spare s-pen tips and the tool, they don't really wear at all so it more a matter of if you like the softer or harder tip

I remember in past Notes the reason why they gave so many is because some were different softness or hardness to your liking on how it feels on the screen. I'm not sure on the ones with the Note 10/+ if they are any different since they gave only two. I haven't looked at them yet to see if there are any differences from the stock one.

Actually judging from the pic in the OP looks like the white one will give you a different feel on the spen. Look at the Note 9 box I have here in my office looks like they did the same thing and gave only two. With one also being a different color.

For my own edification, what tip do you like using and why? I really have no clue.

By the way, I have 2 different Windows laptops which also use a stylus pen. My Microsoft Surface Go uses a Surface Pen (for $100, ye gads!) My Lenovo Thinkpad laptop has a built-in stylus pen. I now have 3 different devices, all using stylus pens! I can't keep track of it all, haha!

Interesting. In my Note 10+ box this item was in a plastic wrapper. On that wrapper it says "Replacement tips for S Pen and tip removal tool"

I am guessing yours was not in s plastic wrapper with this note on it?
