Anyone know why this happens

The time (stock) randomly resets to the default one minute when minimised and stops timing. It doesn't do it all the time but it's annoying especially when you need it for cooking. Should I give up with it and download one from the play store?

This happened to me once. It was because I was clearing out the recently used apps and didn't realize that it stops all apps running.
