Anyone, like me, with a recently new Note 9 still wondering whether to buy a Note 10+?

Thanks so much for checking for me but I have reas too many horror stories about Samsung trade ins being rejected. Perhaps if BestBuy ever does it again for unlocked model...but then the 5g model has to be Verizon I think.

I would only do a trade in in person to be sure it is accepted without reservation.
Yes...there are always trade in horror stories but that are not brand specific. No issues with Samsung Trade on my end.

I bought a used Note 9 for 400 on swappa a few months before the Note 10 was announced, I ended up trading it in for the $600 pre-order deal. I don't regret it. If you can get the deal, or the 650 deal from a MS store then I'd consider it. It's a great phone.

I was looking for the Note 10plus5G. Does the 5g even exist as an unlocked model I can use at Verizon? Verizon claims theirs is exclusive.

I've traded in house before using a Samsung Experience Store which went ok.

However I don't think I'd entertain sending my phone off for it to be then traded in.

I appreciate not everyone has a Samsung Experience Store or has one local however.

Thanks for all the replies folks

As I'm in the UK; the Samsung offers are either via the website or in store; there is one near to me in Manchester (I think) so that may be an option...

I too am on the fence about whether to jump ship from a) the Note 8 and b) leave the Apple eco-system as it's driving me nuts with all the paranoid security issues they seem to have, that and dictating what their consumers can and cannot do. I've seen the Note 10+ in the flesh and it's truly beautiful but I'm not sure if I can justify the cost and whether I'd use it to it's maximum capabilities. It would be great for watching videos, Facebooking etc... but I'm not a keen photographer - I enjoy taking photos but don't have a clue about the nuts and bolts of it. I think personally I really need someone on my shoulder to say 'yes, go on, buy it because xyz' or 'no, what on earth are you doing, you don't need another phone' ....... I currently have 3 iPhones + 3 old Android phones (!) so you're probably all thinking 'what the hell is this girl on' and I wouldn't blame you but I really need a change and I 'think' the N10+ is the ticket! I too need help in deciding please chaps!! Thanks for reading my post and sorry if you're now dropping off to sleep!!! :p

You don't need 3 Android phones. Sell them and get the Note 10+. It's a monster of a phone.

Better yet, sell 2 more of your apple stuff. There, you are down to 2 phones. One apple and the best of Android (Note 10).

Good plan, thanks! Thankfully, all handsets are in very good order and I have the original boxes and accessories so hopefully I will be able to sell them quickly and for a good price. I still have to establish whether the note 10+ is the best handset to go for and whether I can justify it but I guess only I can really decide that for myself But still any feedback from a user is always very welcome. I have watched tons and tons of YouTube videos but most of them just cover the specifications of the handset but it would just be nice to know what it’s like to use in every day life for a non-professional user. Many many thanks again for your reply

Hi Ivan, thanks for your reply. I'm living in Blighty (the UK!) so across the pond from you. I know that Samsung do trade-ins but have heard some horror stories - BUT I know these things should be taken with a pinch of salt! I guess part of me doesn't want to sell my old devices as they are as good as new and ..... just in case - YES, I know, STUPID aren't I. I think if I buy the Note 10+ and get on with it, THEN I will sell the phones. I too have the XS Max and you're so right, that AND the 11 Pro Max are sooooooo boring and I hate manufacturers telling me what I can do with MY device and how I can individualise it the way I want to not the way they want me too. I guess the only good thing about Apple is that, allegedly anyway, they are a little more secure than Android insofar as Android is open source so any unscrupulous person would write malicious code into apps and such. Think I'm 99% there as far as being convinced to go ahead with my new purchase thanks to you all.

Note 10+ is really the best Samsung has ever made. A complete loaded package that runs buttery smooth. Had mine since it was released.

I ended up buying the Note 10+ 5G (had to settle for the 256gb version) only 6-7 weeks after I had upgraded to the Note 9 8/512gb from the Note 8
Haven't regretted it at all, the extra screen size and almost zero bezels really makes a difference.

Sure do like the fngerprint sensor on the note 9 being on the back of the phone instead of the front of the phone.

Being on the back is about 25 times easier to use.

Wished about a 100 million people would complain to Samsung.

Don't mind the finger print scanner under the screen :). I won't be complaining :). Plus, you can unlock the phone while sitting on the table without having to pick it up. Bonus lol

I traded in my Note 9 and they gave me a great deal. But to the original question...the Note 10 fills any of the gaps you may discover with your Note 9. Weird i know but this phone just covers all bases for me. The s-pen is better and can do more, the screen is better an bigger.the codecs for Bluetooth headphones is so much better. I get no lag when watching any video in any platform. It's crystal. The camera is better, that wide angled lense is amazing. I say trade up, you won't regret it.
