Anyone NOT having issues?

Check the Apple forums on screens with significant light bleeding on the iPad 2. I'm guessing they finally fixed the problems, but Apple isn't perfect either. My original iPad had weak WiFi until the first update. There was a big thread on that at the time. Apple sells so many in part because they are marketing masters. You hit it on the head by saying marketing is an issue with the Androids. When was the last time we saw a commercial on TV for the Prime, or a Sammy tablet for that matter? I don't recall seeing any. Apple and Microsoft stuff, all the time.

Got my Prime on Dec 30, and still love it and have zero issues.

Yal, I guess I am just really frustrated with the whole Asus roll out thing. This was going to be my first tablet. After countless hours of research and reading, I was really looking forward to having an awsome tablet. I am not a computer geek and would love to have something out of the box that works as it was designed to.I have an android phone and love it. (rezound) I ordered mine from xpansys in mid d ecember and it still isn't suppose to ship till end of january sometime. (if that even happens) I am not a wealthy man and can not afford to be buying tablets and or phones every whip stitch, so I was looking for what would be the best tablet today and will last for a while. Everything I read before the release was absolutely astounding, since then all I hear is problems. As I said, I am no geek and don't want to mess with problems. I was in the photograph industry for some 20 years and I certainly did not tell my potential customers that I would do their photography for them but they would have to wait for me to get a camera. I am all about customer service. (seems to be dying) What a shame. I believe people don't buy what you have, they buy why you do what you do. Hell, we all know there are plenty of tablets out there that will satisfy most users. Sorry for the venting

As much as I may enjoy the Android OS, even I can say that you are walking on the wrong path if you mean what you just said; if so, you shouldn't buy any android tablet. Android is an OS that has a beauty/curse thing going for it - when you receive it brand new, and realize you want it to do something but can't find out how to do it, or dislike something about the phone, you simply download a replacement app third party and quit using whatever came with the phone. You end up doing this a lot down the line, and most people find it a fun, enjoyable experience, however there is also the chance that someone will find it boring, tedious and even irritating, shouting things like "Why can't I _______!?!?!?". As much as I may enjoy it (and am frustrated by the OS sometimes as well), I gotta say, Android is a high-maintenance OS, which means you will probably be messing with it and changing things quite a bit when it comes down to it. In contrast, buy a Blackberry Bold whatever-number-they're-on-now and it comes stock with 239879823 different ringtones and various sound files available to use as alerts for anything you can imagine, reliable (but stuck with) apps for e-mail, sms, bbm, keyboard etc. The same is with Apple, although even more - everything is super integrated to work well with each other on the iPhone and also the iPads. With Android, that's not so.

Anyway, with you saying you have an HTC Rezound, I guess you realize some of this already (not sure how long you've been with android though), but I just want to make sure you know there's going to be times where you need to change some things around. Just my opinion, ignore me if you wish. :)

I've had mine for a few days now. Loving it. Even more with the ICS upgrade. No problems to speak of.

Thanks Jonneh, I have been with android for about 2 years now, started with the samsung fascinate and loved it. I have been with big red over 20 yrs and did not want to switch carriers just to get an iphone, so chose to learn the android system and go with the samsung product. Glad I did too. I would have probably stayed with samsung and the galaxy 2, but verizon doesn't carry it and after much consideration and reading in this forum chose to upgrade to the rezound, which I also like. You are correct in the fact that the android system does take a great deal of time and thats cool with me, I have great people like you and others here to help me learn. (I am old, but still teachable. haha) My point really is with the lackluster roll out of their product and the many issues that are basic functions of the machine such as wifi and gps and not being able to deliver a product in the time frame that was published. In the world of sales and marketing the companies that succeed sell why and not what they have. Android really lacks in this respect. I just hope it doesn't become lost in the shuffle of marketeers and sales lag, therefore no $$'s for future R&D as well as support. That is where apple has its greatest advantage, they did it in the desktop world and are trying the same with there phone and tablet mkt. They flooded the school age children with free computers in schools while they were young and now they are adults and guess what they are buying. It's really just a matter of simple sales strategy, it would be hard to succeed serving a small % of the market.

I wasn't expecting my Prime wifi's to be any good, but it surprised me yesterday.

I have 2 access points at my house, and I thought I was connected to the one in my room.

I was watching netflix, downloading apps, browsing the web. No problem!

However it turned out that I was connected to the other AP that's all the way on the other side of my house.
Other devices in my room like my PS3 and laptop have a hard time keeping a connection to that AP, so I'm happy that my Prime's wifi antenna seems to be working properly.

No issues at all love it and if i had to choose again i would buy it w/o hesitation, i have had the table for over two months now and i use it almost daily. :D

Mine was working great when I first got it but now it is acting up a little. I think I am probably not doing something correct because at the beginning at my apps worked perfectly. Then I downloaded a task manager and use that to close my apps. Now my n64 emulator sputters and freezes along with my other games :( what's I do? I haven't messed with any setting. I got my Roma from roms4android.com, also I downloaded slideme off the Internet but don't think that is affecting anything. Any help would be great!

You can always back up your apps, and restore your device to factory. See if you get the same issues, Then install the apps one by one until you install whatever is causing you issues.

I have had my TP for a couple of weeks. The WiFi signal seems weak but it has never dropped a connection. Lately though my WiFi has been disconnecting during sleep and failing to reconnect. The gps is a more serious issue, not working well at all. I knew this when I purchased the TP and decided I could live with it. I have recently purchased the keyboard dock and other than the above, I am very happy with the this tablet.

Had mine for a few days now, really enjoying it. I have the Galaxy Nexus, so ICS on the TP is a natural. Very happy so far, no issues. Great device! Now to find the right case!

Back on topic, I support 7 Primes and 6 TF101s and none are having any problems. But I have my own little tricks to keep them running well. All are at least 80% for business productivity which does make a difference.
