Anyone Notice Some Screen Wobble

Good luck exchanging. I went to the store today, and they refused to exchange mine over that and the combination of the faulty back button. They said screen looseness/wobble was normal. Then the technician in the store accused me of rooting and flashing a ROM, because she said I had a newer baseband version than the official one. I had to take her to a display model and show her that I was running the same one they had in the store. She reproduced my button problem several times and then said it was probably due to some software I had installed & that they weren't going to exchange it over that. I finally gave up and closed my account.

Wow. That's too bad man. Was this at Sprint or at another retailer?

That is why I go to the big box stores, I know they can't really refuse an exchange or return as long as its within the 30 days.

I never thought of that. That's good information to have for future reference.

It was a regular Sprint store. I left this part out - but when I walked in there was another retail rep in a fight with another customer. Might be a store problem, I don't know. haha

That's the problem that I have with customer service representatives. Some of them really don't care about helping you. If I behaved the way that some of them do at my job, security would be showing me to the door with a box of my belongings. it is unfortunate, but it does happen. So you closed your account? What are you going with now?

I would be too. I hadn't ported my number over from Verizon yet, so I've still got the Droid X. It's too bad because I really liked the Epic sans the few nagging issues I was having.

I'm pretty new here, but sorta in the same boat as you. I still have a Verizon phone and account, but haven't ported my number yet due to trying out the 30 day guarantee. Really having a tough time making the decision to officially convert to Sprint. Had a great customer service experience at the store on launch day and my Epic has really had no problems at all.

But I have a question for you - If you had to choose, regardless of carrier and plan prices and strictly on the phone, would you prefer to go with the Epic or Droid X? I don't have any major experience with the Droid X, but I'd probably go with that or the Droid 2 if I were to stay on Verizon. I'm just curious...

Can you open your keyboard, like the picture shown below, and tell me if you see white pieces of plastic on just one side or both sides?

I do have the 2 white pieces of plastic and there is no wobble of any kind when the keyboard is slid to the out position. There is some play while the keyboard is in the in position, but not so much that I am worrying about it at all.

Solid here so far. I've had lots of sliders over the years, the Pre being the worst.

Anyone:

When the keyboard is open and you hold down the right bottom corner of the screen: does it stop wobbling for you? That's what mines doing right now. It's kinda starting to bother me when I'm playing Sega and stuff. (The really the only time I have the keyboard open for the most part)

This is my second Epic and yeah a bit of wobble specially when you remove the Sprint case. I think with the case you wont notice it that much.
