Anyone one getting this or waiting for a Nexus Tablet?

Went last Tues to check this out as solution for daughter ended up playing with it and buying 2... we have an ipad 1 in the house so I am familiar with the high end. I haven't touched my ipad in a week. I love this tab!!!!! Haven't gone anywhere without it. The only complaint I have is the apps to SD card issue. For 249 I think you will be hard pressed to find more!!!!

we dont have that store here in RI... only best buys and they have 11 left and i cant buy until thursday.. and another BB in my area sold out

i know it was released 4.22.. did you do like next day shipping? i only get one check a month on the 3rd so cant do anything until 5/3.. i'm am majorly freaking out everyday that best buy and amazon wont have any when i am ready to buy :( i know BB keeps selling out.. and i sure as heck dont wanna wait a week or more after waiting all this time.

I did the standard shipping that was like $10.

I did see that my local Walmart had these in stock as well, which surprised me, especially because my local store isn't a super center. It's one of the old small stores.

Just got the tablet from Amazon yesterday BTW and ordered it two or three days before. Noticed that a number of the so-called HD apps won't install like QuickOffice yet the phone versions will install and run fine. My take on it is that its fun and funky and that its a precursor of things to come in the same form factor. I don't mind dropping 250.00 on something I enjoy. Phones cost a lot more. I'll probably also get a Nexus tablet since I never buy them from carriers. My Xoom was great but it had rough edges even with ICS on it. Lately it really started slowing down, almost stopping sometimes. I'm going to use the Tab 2 for all the basic stuff like news, netflix, etc. Google Currents is absolutely gorgeous on the tab.

This will last me until the next best thing comes along.

I was thinking about waiting. I have an iPad & a kindle fire & my iPhone. But I was really wanting the middle device. The SGT2 is out now & it's a great device. I really like it. Only got it yesterday, but it's nice. I don't think the nexus tab or whatever the name would be, would be a huge leap in difference to ignore the SGT2. If it is far better then I guess I'll sell mine. But for what I use it for, reading & surfing, I'm good to go.

I know for instance that Photoshop Touch which is a tablet app is not compatible with our device. Adobe states that it must be a tablet of 8.9" or larger. Adobe just lost my money!

I'll probably return mine because of this issue. Too many apps run as phones and not tablets, and it really limits the experience. I don't think it's the screen size specifically, but rather the resolution. Seems apps see 1024X600 as a phone, not a tablet. Maybe Adobe is doing things differently, but I'm guessing that they say 8.9" or larger because those are pretty much guaranteed of having 1280X800.

It would be interesting to see if Photoshop Touch is available for the GT 7.7, which runs at 1280X800...

I am sure Photoshop Touch can be made to work somehow by spoofing the resolution to something larger somehow. APK downloader (Download APKs from the Android Market with a Chrome extension -- Engadget) may work too, but haven't tried, because I already have PS on my Mac. It would be nice to have on a tablet though.
