Anyone planning on using Nova launcher?

Nova will absolutely be my launcher for this phone. Can still use all of the Sammy additions (edge screen, etc) , but get customization of Nova.

I was planning on using Nova on the Note 8 but after playing with the Note 8 at Verizon today , I don't think I will. The stock UI is surprisingly very good... Much better than my 7 Edge.

Hell, I don't even REMEMBER what the stock UI looked like on my S7E....

Agreed. I went to Nova right away on my Tab S3. TouchWiz on Tab S3 is crippled...missing a lot of things it can do on the phone.

Also I have a Huawei MediaTab 8.4 tablet and like for my phone and tablet to be similar, so that is another reason I go with Nova as a launcher on both.

I tried TouchWiz at first but the fact that I couldn't resize my widgets as well as Nova Launcher, made my decision for me and I loaded Nova.

I've used Nova Prime for 7 years, I see no reason to change now. It does everything I want it to do. I will save my set up and when I reinstall Nova on the Note 8, everything will be exactly where I want it. Easy Peasy.

Won't be as customizable as a third party launcher... well I would be surprised if it was.

Agreed, I can't see Touchwiz being anywhere near as customisable either. I started using Nova on my Note 4 because I was running a custom DPI which breaks the Samsung launcher but was impressed that I could customise so much of the interface particularly when the Samsung options were poor.

I'm using Nova right now on my S8+. I'm most likely going to use it on my N8 when that gets here. I just like the added features and extra customization that comes with it

IMO the stock icons are just a little too small and I stain my eye trying to read the tiny letters. I thought of nova and apex but mostly nova.

Yes I do for one lousy feature. I want the shortcut to pull down the notification bar with an icon on the bottom of the screen. I can't reach the top with my thumb one handed. I also admit I like infinite rotation rather than new screens all added on my right. I like home in the middle and just keep swiping to go through every screen and back.

LG has infinite rotation of screens and an icon to pull down notifications built into the ui so I never used Nova on V20

I'm rocking Lightning Launcher on my Note 8 (as I've been on most phones. I use Nova once in while, but I always go back LL. It can be a little complicated and complex, but the creativity allowed with this launcher is only limited by your imagination and the amount of time you have to set it up. And the developer listens!

Anybody that has gotten the N8 put Nova on, yet? I have used Nova Prime for every phone since my LG Optimus G Pro, and I love it.

What I'm especially interested in is whether NP can change the Nav Bar. I know Samsung let's us change the order to the proper layout of back-home-recent, but can we get the triangle-circle-square? (Full disclosure: I hated the loss of the old soft navigation icons when it happened, but love them now. Haha!)

I was going to give TouchWiz a good shot but when there were some non-resizeable widgets, I immediately went to Nova.

I've not tried any major changes, like your mentioned NavBar. Will let you know if I do.

I use Nova Launcher. I saved my old configuration from my old phone, and restored it on the Note 8, and everything came back the way I wanted it.

I know there are a lot of Nova fans out there. Why use Nova?

Nova is great for icon packs and customizing.

That said I haven't felt the need to use it with modern touchwiz. On my s6 and the phones before it I always got rid of the touchwiz launcher day one and used Nova. But since the s7 touchwiz got a lot better and I don't feel the need for Nova.

I'm using Nova Launcher now(see my post on the "post a picture of your home screen"). I usually use it whenever I get an Android phone. It really adds to the customization of the phone and you can really make some neat themes with it. I have a 3rd party icon pack installed as well so it's all done completely to my personal preference.
