Anyone putting stock in Dec 15th?

He might have thought that you would say that you would wait for the nexus instead of purchasing the razr. I think that many (if not all) stores have stock, but telling us this would just fan the fire; so, they lie. I have been to a few stores that straight-up told me that they have them in the back and cannot sell them.

That's sort of what I was hoping for... but TBH he didn't seem to care much what we bought (pretty laid back.) Wish this store was like other's where the sales people seem to care and set up appts with people. Guess I'll hope for the best when the days comes to find one... BB across the street told me they do have them, just can't sell them yet.

There is a (admittedly high) probability of it launching on the 15th. that would happen if they get the new software update approved in the early morning and launch same day. right off the bat the plan was to get the changes approved on the 15 and launch morning of the 16th. they arent sure how to predict sales? what? if they cant somehow derive a metric to guess at demand, than who the hell can? this is sad if true! if true, how about release the phone with what you have and figure it out from there.

traditionally the Nexus branded devices have had poor brand identity amongst the masses and haven't been top tier sellers in terms of numbers shipped. and VZW could have done more to increase the brand recognition than any other carrier but............ they have done more to absolutely positively decimate the brand than any previous carrier.

i can guarantee you google and samsung are banging their damn heads on the table right now. the european version has been out for almost a month. WTF is up with VZW corporate decision makers and or their network because one of the two or both is really effing this thing up.

Well, could be fake. Savannah, GA has had LTE for a while now. And have we seen any leaks confirming 12/15 for the white RAZR? Not saying it is fake, but does have some bad information.

I don't think Savannah, GA was ever "officially" announced to have LTE, I think it was announced it was coming (December 15th). It does have it, just like most of the time cities got LTE before Verizon made a PR saying "X now has LTE, blahblahblah markets now available"

It seems like they are keeping their option to postpone open as long as they can, which makes me think whatever they are waiting for (software update, etc...) is coming down to the wire.

But at least we haven't heard confirmation of another pushback and people are reporting that some reps are claiming to have gotten the go-ahead so, for now at least, I'm staying hopeful.

Figured it out- they launched there November 17th according to the press release, and they are expanding there the 15th.

Quite a few stores didn't even recieve any stock whoatsoever before the 9th got canned so there were quite a few things working to make that date a no-go from the start. Phone issues, aside.o

I never said that wasn't their intention. Some feel that there is no way it is launching anytime soon because they did not issue a PR. People just think verizon has to always do everything the same. If that was the case razr and rezound would have launched on thur rather than a fri and monday.

This. I don't think the Equipment Guide will be updated until release. For that matter, I think the internal screenshot from corporate concerning the 15th is as official as it's going to get until the phone finally launches, whether it's Thursday or later. The Equipment Guide is what really convinced most of the launch date last week, and look at the hell we've put Verizon through since then (mailing all the head honchos at corporate, using the email service on their website, constant calls to stores/CS, lots of bad press, etc). They're not going to risk putting another date out there incase of another delay, they were obviously taken aback by the delay last week, they're just being more prepared now.

I remember them announcing LTE expansion in Atlanta when it was already available. I think it's just them expanding it more.
