Anyone received the new update that is being pushed by Google to fix multi-touch issues

The update was pushed to my tablet (and my wife's 2012 Nexus 7 as well) sometime today. I had a notification that it had been downloaded and was ready to install when I got home from work today. I am outside of Rochester, NY ... though I don't know if region matters or not.

I didn't notice either GPS or multi-touch issues with my device prior to the update, so I can't speak to whether those issues were fixed or not.

Thanks for the informative update.

Well, I didn't wait, and just installed it: JSS15Q. I wasn't having major touch or multi-touch problems before, but long pressing was iffy. Anecdotally so far, long pressing seems more solid.

Received a download 20 minutes ago. New to android so thought I would check here:

BiBXB4Z(lots more characters)

Must be it, right?

Just got it after force stopping Google framework. The update for my 2012 came earlier this morning on its own.

I noticed that the 2013 update is just under 11mb whereas the 2012 update is under 2mb.

I never had the touchscreen problems, but did have it get stuck on the X a few times on reboot. Hopefully that's solved as well.

Forgot about that trick to stop framework and delete the cache to force an update. Received the update immediately. I never had touchscreen issues, so, for me, I'll be testing the update for the GPS fix.

Can you share more details? I tried that and it did not work. I went to App and found Google Framework. I force stopped the service and then cleared the cache. I went back to the Update option and nothing happened.

Edit: Got it to work. Needed to clear data and not cache.

Just installed and am staring at the Nexus X animation for 5 minutes now as it tries to boot... Should I try to shut it down and reboot manually?

Although I did receive an update by doing the Framework trick, it was not the latest. My Build Number shows as JSS15J. I have stopped Google Framework multiple times and cleared data but no new update. I understand the latest one should reflect as JSS15Q.

No joy. Tried rebooting, stopped at the x :-(

I'm in the same position. Woke up to use my nexus just to notice that it's stuck on the nexus logo. Why would the update brick my device? I'm unrooted with s-on and stock recovery.. I would hate to have to manually go through the process of restoring it and having to start fresh. I avoided rooting for this reason in the first place!

Sorry if I confused things. I knew it was clear one or the other. Either way, I'm on the
latest version. Hope you are too.
