Never just call and cancel, you tell then you are moving to an area they don't cover.

If I was the cancer patient I would tell them to bill me.

I would too, but I also have a contingency plan to have someone update my Facebook, Twitter, and various forum posts from beyond the grave, so good luck convincing them that I'm actually dead.
