Anyone still love this gadget as much as day one?

If the thing had Steam I might never turn on the desktop. I browse, check email, check my favorite forums, read my Kindle books, listen to my Audible books, podcasts, and some videos on this thing. It's amazing how many gadgets this mega monster super phone replaced.

Of course I just put an NVidia 460 GTX in the desktop computer, so it's still the primary game device.

As long as I can keep modding the phone, I am happy. Neither my phone nor my computer stay the same for long.

Ok, I did NOT know about the calculator thing. Freakin' Cool!

I'm sure at this time next year I'll be lusting after whatever new Android flagship phone comes out. But I can say that I love this phone. No regrets.

I don't. In fact, when I had my Pre, I never got bored or intimidated by other devices. Why? Because I knew that I had the best webOS device out there. I don't blame android for making me feel a bit less excited about the phone after a month of having it, I blame the fact that htc chose to use such cheap processing hardware in it's product. Every other phone that has come out since evo had much higher quality hardware components, especially with regard to processing. This phone made me make the following decision:

I will never purchase a device with a qualcomm processor again.

I've had it for a week now, and the hugeness has gone away. It's like when I first got my 61" hdtv -- it was freaking huge at first, but after a week I was already pricing out 72" sets.

Has anyone seen the Dell Streak? Now that is HUGE.

i used to hold my ipod touch and think this thing is kind of uncomfortable in my hand, now when ever im in the car and turn it on i look at it and im jesus that thing is small haha.. i love my EVO it hasnt had a days rest in the nearly 7 weeks since i picked up my pre order

Wow maybe you should try something else.

I was thinking the same thing. I love the processor in this thing. The phone is incredibly snappy. Not only that, but some if these newer devices that he speaks of have had more issues with the processor than the EVO. Look into the Droid X forums. Even the Galaxy S forums are talking about the phone being laggy.

Today was the first day my EVO freaked out on me. I was trying to update some apps. and while doing so the phone become very sluggish and then unresponsive. WIFI wouldn't turn off, widget's wouldn't remove got an "HTC SENSE FORCE CLOSE" etc. Then the phone just restarted by itself, almost as if it crashed. Very weird. However another reboot after that and the phones back to normal. I LOVE this phone, realy my favorite phone out of all my BB's, Iphone's, Sidekicks, Nextel's and T-Mo G1. I just wished the Battery life didn't suck a**.

Yeah my battery life sucks too, but only because I can't put it down. Still better battery life than my palm pre.

Will never switch to another
phone. Well, at least for another year that is!

Only had mine for 3 weeks now. Thing is still ridiculous...it'll truly hit sick when Froyo is released.

You know, this phone is really great. The things that you can do with it, the screen, swype, the screen, swype, just about every damn feature on this phone. And its fast, it doesn't skip a beat at all. Things work on it like it should, my Pre, I rooted the hell out of it. The EVO, I'm really not interested in doing so, I really enjoy it like it is. Battery life for me is GREAT, way more then I could of ever asked for, and that's with WIFI, BT and GPS on. There going to have too really come out with something really good next year to get me to leave the EVO. Very satisfied .... Oh, did I mention the damn screen..... :D

I have used the droid x and the captivate from att. Although the system as a whole runs the same speed on all devices, I am taking about 3d games and other process heavy applications. The evo cannot handle them half as well as the other two devices. Qualcomm makes a cheap processor. That's the fact. I knew this before I purchased the evo, but everyone gave snapdragon such great reviews that I thought qualcomm finally got a good hand at good processors.

I was wrong. I am sticking with anything other than the qualcomm processors from now on.
