Anyone still love this gadget as much as day one?

Still love this thing. Last night I over clocked and then applied the fps patch and now I Love it even more

The internet browsing experience with the Evo is much better than any mobile browsing I've ever used that I'm on it almost constantly. The pages load so fast -- on Winmo, the best browsing experience was with Opera Mini, and that was still a buggy affair full of crashes and and restarts. If you're on wifi or a fast 3G network, the Evo almost like a small laptop.

I'm also taking tons of pictures and video of my daughters. I've taken more pictures in the first week of ownership than I did the entire three year stretch of Mogul/Diamond/TP2. It's the first "camera phone" that approaches the quality of my point and shoot.

And between the roomy keyboard and the voice input, I'm composing a lot more than I used to. The TP2 had a slider, but because the portrait to landscape transition was so buggy I avoided using it when I could. On the Evo, I readily switch from portrait to landscape and back.

My wife is cutting me some slack right now because it's so new, but if I don't start putting it down for more than five minutes at a time, she's gonna get a bit upset.

Had it the day it came out. Love it more now than I did then. I rooted from day one and have tried half a dozen custom Roms but keep going back to the last OTA rooted patch. I even turned off sense today but went back to it after realizing how easy it is to slide one screen over scroll down my favorites widget and catch up on EVERYTHING my friends and family are up to. Everyone I care about in one place with all the info I need right there. I carry two extra batteries around with me at all times though. I cant go a day without changing batteries, only thing I don't like about the EVO but I am willing to put up with it for what I am getting in return. Did I mention the screen is AWESOME!

I forgot to mention SWYPE is what helped make this phone so great for me. I came from Blackberry and stayed on that platform for a long time strictly because of the Berry keyboard. SWYPE made the transition for me a wonderful one and my typing speed now with SWYPE blows away my former Berry typing speed. RIM is dead to me. I still listen to the crackberry podcasts but I will never go back to RIM. Android all the way baby :)

I can honestly say that I love this phone. I've been through many; as I'm sure most of you have as well. With 30% brightness, a task killer, an informative battery widget and a basic understanding of all this phone is doing, I'm a happy camper. By the way, the front camera is also very good.

I have used the droid x and the captivate from att. Although the system as a whole runs the same speed on all devices, I am taking about 3d games and other process heavy applications. The evo cannot handle them half as well as the other two devices. Qualcomm makes a cheap processor. That's the fact. I knew this before I purchased the evo, but everyone gave snapdragon such great reviews that I thought qualcomm finally got a good hand at good processors.

I was wrong. I am sticking with anything other than the qualcomm processors from now on.
Pssst! It's the 30 fps cap that is screwing you, not the processor.

To answer the original post, I love my Evo more now than ever. Always finding new cool stuff and apps, and I haven't even rooted yet. I am on mine all the time.

I am one of those people who is constantly switching phones every few months, buying the newest and greatest usually straight out at retail price. The EVO has taken a place with me no other smart phone has yet to take. I rarely use my laptop or netbook anymore. It seems like everytime I even start to get use to this phone I find something new and exciting about it. Plus it has taken everything I have thrown at t so far and thats more then I can say for any other phones I have had. I think I may stick with the evo for a while and I'm actually happy to say that. :D

@colecoyates So far CM 6 has been pretty stable for me. There's no 4g or HDMI out yet. The camera works, but I've only taken 1 pic and no videos. The performance is nice...it really hasn't bogged down on me whereas occasionally stock did. Also on CM6 I always have about 150 MB of free RAM vs 40mb on stock. I really like the more native look of android.

So far it's been stable enough for me to continue using since I rarely in 4g range and don't have any HDMI displays. I'll probably continue to use this ROM for a week or 2 and will then get a newer version unless I run into some stability problem.

Yep still love my phone, the best smartphone Ive owned. Being that im sort of a undecisive guy this phone is perfect. I can change up screens everyday or every hour. Bottomline, android lets me have control of my phone and tinker with it alot more than some other phones Ive owned. Love it still. Its going to take alot to pry this out of my hands.

If I had 4g, I would cancel my current internet. 3G just does not cut it when watching HD videos on netflix. I don't even play my psp's anymore.

If it wasn't for the screen problems that I have had this device would be perfect. It could use a better GPU but oh well I really don't use my phone for gaming so no big deal.
I think it would be cool if you could plug a thumb drive in for expandable memory.

I literally STILL to this day can't put my phone down. Even if I don't have any reason to pick it up and use it I'll somehow find a way to do something on it. And changing the homescreens and adding and removing widgets constantly makes me feel like I got a newer phone. I'll give that thanks to the andriod os and sense. but the phone itself I love also. The kickstand, camera, screen size, EVERYTHING! I just love my EVO!!!

I love this phone more than I did on day one. I can do more than I ever thought I could. I use it for almost everything. I bought a pair of Bluetooth Stereo Head phones for the gym and its amazing. The apps, the phone, the entertainment aspects. Nothing is better!
