Anyone still using the stock keyboard on Galaxy S5?

Re: Anyone still using the stock keyboard?

Not sure what you mean. I use it on my note 3, and it doesn't lag. The s5 has an even faster processor, so I don't see why it should lag.

The s5 lags just like the s4 did. A faster processor doesn't mean anything. I think the moto X proved that.

I never had an S4, but I can say I haven't suffered any lag with any keyboard on the S5. I used the stock keyboard very briefly before going back to Swiftkey. There was a short flirtation with the Google Keyboard too, but it never felt right.

Re: Anyone still using the stock keyboard?

I stayed with the OEM keyboard for 5 weeks. It is okay, but I wanted better Word Prediction.

I have since after trying other apps, ended up with SwiftKey and have been very satisfied with the way it works.

Swiping is super easy, never have to lift a finger to write a complete sentence.

Word prediction if you use the touch each letter method is so eerily accurate, it is scary. I can sometimes write whole sentences with just one letter and the correct next word is displayed in the 3 options it offers.

I can't believe no one motioned the Fleksy keyboard. It's amazing and while it has a learning curve, it's very easy to get a hang of and you type REALLY fast once you get used to it.

sorry but the predictive capability of Fleksy does not come close to SwiftKey, I tried it and uninstalled it.

Same experience here. I am currently using the S4 with Swiftkey. I use both entry methods, and there are times when I can also put together an entire sentence just using the predictive text. My wife had an S3 and now an S5, and she refuses to use anything except the stock keyboard. I personally think the spellcheck and, especially, the predictive text work waaay better on Swiftkey. But that's just me.

Using the stock keyboard with Swipe . Works fine .

I liked that the swype keyboard was included with the s4 and note 2. Didn't have to download it just pick it on the settings.

Is there a way to make the "keys" bigger on the stock keyboard? I tried Swipe, but it seems to busy and has features I just don't use...all I need are bigger keys. I'm a dude, I have man hands....
