Anyone swapped their S7e with the 10?

Re: Anyone swapped his S7e with the 10?

I don't understand how you only get 3 to 4 hrs SOT unless you are doing heavy gaming or you are in a bad area for signal. Last night I got 3.5 hrs of SOT at full brightness and had 48% battery left. Nothing heavy just playing with it.

Honestly, I don't understand how you can get 3.5 hours of SOT with just 52% battery. I get good battery life, around 24 hours with around 3-4 SOT.

Wi-Fi connectivity cripples my 10 just as it did my m8. The Wi-Fi and cell antennas are my biggest drain. Unfortunately it's just an evil I have to live with as my building at work is god awful. At home I could easily claim a 36hr battery with the same type of use. On the job I'm at 36% after 10 hours. Not bad, but the s7e had me at just over 50% with a 10 hour work day.

I traded my Galaxy S6 in for the HTC 10 and I absolutely love this thing. I'm definitely team HTC now but I honestly don't think you'll be disappointed with either phone. The Galaxy S7 Edge, in particular, is a pretty compelling device with a great camera, water resistance, great display and respectable sized battery. If it weren't for the software and fingerprint loving glass back, it would've been a much harder decision for me. That said, I love the HTC 10 enough to buy it over and over again, if needed.

The Edge battery is 3600 mAh versus the HTC 10's 3000 mAh. Given that information, the Edge should absolutely have better battery life. I imagine it would be a more fair comparison if you were comparing the HTC 10 to the regular Galaxy S7 which has the same sized battery.

Not sure if Samsung fixed the standby time on their phones. My Galaxy S6 would show noticeable drain, whereas I can leave my HTC unplugged all night, then wake up, only missing 2%. That just blew my socks off.

My Galaxy S6 was the same overnight battery drain for no good reason, although I am loving my HTC 10 I think the battery drains quick when in use. But a third part app DU battery saver pro is really helping. This combined with the Doze feature is a good combo.

This is about right. 3-4 for 18 hours awake for me. I understand that the comparison to S7E may not be apples to apples, but the S7E can be purchased on the second hand market for equal or less to the 10 so at least for me it's direct compare. Plus, each is a flagship phone. I think the S7E is an objectively superior phone but it doesn't stir my emotions like the 10. Can't stand the software overlay.

Made the switch today, early impressions are that I will be happier with the 10, I prefer closer to stock software. Audio on the 10 is hard to beat also

I gave my S7E to my girlfriend and got me the 10. I love the 10 so far!

Don't get me wrong the S7E is an awesome phone buy had it since 10 days before release date and not once have I used the Edge feature.

HTC 10 is speedy, cameras are great in the 48 hours of use I've had and I'm totally digging the phone!
