Anyone Switch to iPhone Max??

I can't switch to iOS because there's a lot of thing I wouldn't be able to do like download youtube videos, use YouTube vanced, split screen, emulators, etc.

But not gonna lie, I'm jealous that iPhone XS max has better battery life with 3174 mah than the Note 9 with 4000 mah and also that does not do a lot of dropped frames like samsung. Even my $500 OnePlus 6 was noticeable smoother and faster than the N9 :(

How do you know the battery is better??

iOS is MUCH more efficient than Android - traditionally iPhones with smaller batteries provide more battery life than Samsung devices with bigger batteries. I don't see where that will be any different between the XS Max and Note 9. The results will tell.

For the record I use a Product Red iPhone 8 Plus and Note 8. Not tied to one ecosystem.

Samsung had this features a while ago. The only thing the Apple watch have is a EKG monitor. And that's a good feature. But I can test my heart rate from my phone or my watch at anytime.

Samsung has had heart rate, stress level and O2 (oxygen) levels for a while now. I've tested the heart rate and oxygen levels with a dedicated O2 monitor and blood pressure cuff many times. The readings are spot on or well within the margin of error. And starting with the S9 you can take your blood pressure with the aid of a 3rd party app. iPhone's EKG could be a winner. I haven't watched a video of how it works yet or how accurate it is.

Only place I have noticed a sale on the Note 9 is TMO. I don't recall the full retail price of the s9 so it could be on sale at various locations. So it doesn't appear Samsung phones don't always drop in price when the iPhone releases.
Maybe because the other carriers had better deals on the Note9 at launch and T-mobile is trying to make up sales now with more affordable prices?

Strong possibility, probably a safe bet high down payments scared some people away. They have backed off that a little with the new iPhone but not completely. I suspect sales will be lower than last years iPhone release with TMO.

I just came from the iPhone X I'm elling without pause the xmax has nothing spectacular for that price. I also came from the watch 3 I'm on the note 9 and galaxy watch and the galaxy is superior in battery connectivity in that your phone can be off and still show your cell number as far as he ecg with the iPhone we all know you better no come close to relying on that

Ios still doesn't multi-task better than Android. My Note can still run games and videos while I reply to texts and email, skip music, change options like turn in location and mobile hotspot from the notification shade.

I think most people still buy apple iPhone for status symbol..but I am seeing a change where people are realising apple is same every year and don't really innovate the way they claim... I think lot of android Oems have innovated way more than apple

I too know of some Apple users - or past iPhone users - who are now starting to realize that Apple is not as innovative as it claims to be.

All these years and Apple just creates the same phone with a feature that has already existed with Android and call it "new" or "never before seen on any smartphone". Their iPhones do not provide that many features for the price, which I have to admit, is a bit ridiculous. But then again, Apple has always been greedy with money. I love Apple for their laptops and their iPads (which is where I get my taste in iOS) but their phones leave a lot to be desired and that is why I prefer Samsung because you could do a lot more with Android than with iOS

Nope you're correct only the Tmo Note 9. Samsung doesn't always drop they're price due to an apple release that's fake news. Just think t-mobile is trying to make good since they have lowered there down payments for some customers when the new iPhones went on pre-order(they didn't lower prices when note 9 was released).

I still can't believe their larger phones don't have split screen multitasking. What's the point of having a big screen that doesn't allow you to do multiple things at once? I guess at least they finally got stacked notifications. May have took them 10 years to realize how cluttered their notifications were but they finally got it lol.

I know lol maybe in the next 10 years they'll come up with multi tasking and say that its never before been used in any smartphone and their little fanbase will believe them lol

I had the decision of getting the note 9 or max this past Saturday.

I am a user that doesn't mind switching up, but I've stuck with apple for the past three years. I am invested in their ecosystem and my family and friends use their product

I'm working 2-3 jobs and I need a device that will provide relief to helping me be organized as well as being able to last all day, not just be a media device. I'm doing all of this in hope of becoming a homeowner by the end of the year so multitasking is needed to be able to switch between work related things and personal and finance.

So for me the note 9 was the best choice. Wanted the note 8 so I could get the key board case but I got a good deal. I still have my iPad and 7 plus though. I just couldn't commit to getting an all screen device that provided little function in productivity

While I do see your point, I think it also depends on how each individual uses their phone. Individual usage patterns will vary and will therefore make battery usage stays vary, as well as each individual device/unit. My fiancé's iPhone SE would do way better than my Honor 8 when both phones were under low battery warnings. His would last WAY longer than mine when under 5%. However, since he is a power user and I'm only a moderate user, he would very often drain his battery to the point of needing to turn on battery saving mode sooner; whereas my Honor 8 would still truck along. And when he used my Honor 8 and taxed the battery, I think it lost juice a little slower than the iPhone SE (until the battery began to show age, of course).

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if one is a power user and is using an iPhone, they still may have an issue with battery life. Same with an Android device. However, with Google and other manufacturers coming out with adaptive batteries, I think it will be difficult for us to differentiate between which platform offers the best battery life.
