Anyone Switch to iPhone Max??

Even with iOS 12.1b2 there are some issues. The sweet spot is usually Feb - March while right now with new hardware and iOS it's more like a perfect storm.

I'm fine with Note 9 and iPhone X for now. Sometimes I want a lighter phone rather than a mini tablet. But I always have both iPhone and Android. iPad Pro and S3 Tab.

How is the display inferior when displaymate rated it the best display on any smartphone???

And who uses a jack now. It’s Bluetooth times. OneNote just axed theirs too.

Stop drinking the note drink. Lol. Honestly I see a lot on the max the note could not do.
Believe it or not bluetooth isn't the normal for everyone. There are still people without bluetooth in their car.

I thought about doing the same thing, unfortunately, I won't be doing that because of the JOD down payment nonsense. Not worth the effort anymore, I'll either ride out my current phone or downgrade to a cheap phone and pay it off and stop getting phones at T-Mobile.

Yeah they made JOD worthless now :(.

Doesn't seem to work when I try. I click on the two '' and I do on another one, and it wipes out the first one. :(

Hehe, I use to be one of those till I put a JVC stereo in mine 5 years ago. I have a 2000 Camry LE that won't die with 232k. Way before the time of Bluetooth. I want to add another stereo with apple car play and android auto, but haven't found one that is more reasonable yet.

I had it for a week and felt underwhelmed by it... it is literally an oversized x. why mess with a good thing?

Agreed. I gave my wife my iPhone X I had on JOD (she keeps her phone forever) so it'll get paid off and I got a Note 9 since T-Mobile gave me $500 off for an old S7 Edge I had in a drawer and Samsung gave me AKG over the ear headphones valued at $299 for preordering. Definitely a better deal than if I would have used JOD.

Sorry but why would you? Apple phones are so far behind and so expensive? This round of 'updates' seem to offer even less than usual and my Galaxy Watch is a cracker (IMHO)

MST basically mimics the magnetic strip of a credit card and works at credit card stations that do not accept NFC (tap payments). This is extremely useful in stores that have not upgraded their machines and can't accept Apple Pay or Google Pay. Samsung Pay uses the "swipe" reader and just works.

Do you hold the phone up to the side with the slider then? I never knew this.

I switch back and forth every year. IMO....Undeniable truth 1.....the Max battery life is significantly better than Note/Galaxy flagstaff. Just replaced my S8plus with the Max and the difference is not subtle. Undeniable truth 2....the iPhone community is psycho. Every year the new phones have yellow screens and trollers exploit that psychosis and forums like macrumors rejoice on the clickfest. They are also obsessed with Android and being better than that platform. Chiponshouldersyndrome. Undeniable truth 3....each platform has its pluses and minuses in the final analysis it all depends on personal preferences.

So here’s my rationale. Like I said I go back and forth every year. And I own each flagship or close to each flagship. And the battery tests that come out each year are worthless. Because people don’t use the phones like the tests are testing. I always need to recharge Androids sometime during the day and with the big iPhones I never do unless I go crazy playing games. That’s my experience ever since Apple introduced the 6plus. I’ve owned the 6plus, 7plus, Max, S8plus, Note 7 (before the kaboom). And before that it was all Android including Note 5,2,1.
