Anyone switching back to iPhone?

I am like everyone here. I love my Note 3 but may consider going back to the iPhone when the iPhone 6 comes out. Especially for the 5.5" screen. (I won't go back to the iPhone if it's only the 4.7" screen)

I do love the Note 3 and the Android OS, but makes it hard when my wife and most of my family are still on iOS. I do miss the simplicity of FaceTime and other iOS features ??????

Yes except I am NOT going to iPhone. Both my daughter's are on it but I could care less. They can switch to Android but I will NOT switch to iPhone. I was reading an article today (fairly reliable) that Apple is coming out with both a 4.7 and a 5.5 inch screen and beefing up the batteries but given their screen sizes, the batteries are STILL to under powered for them (less than many current phones of their size) so once again everyone can complain about battery issues. That wouldn't bother me but once again their is just no change to the basic premise of row upon row of icons which I have ALWAYS found quite boring. That and the fact that the iPhone simply cannot do all the things the Note can do. It has tons of apps so if apps your thing, that's the way to go. If however, you want your phone to be able to do things besides go into apps and to be a great productivity tool (split screens, multi-tasking, video sharing, NFC, personalization, S Pen, etc.), then WHY would you want to go back to iPhone? I won't even get into the way they practically hold you captive with how they do things (can you say "iMessage"?).

In all honesty, excuse my English, but the iPhone 6 will need to be amazing almost beyond comprehension for me to consider replacing either the S5 or Note 3 with it. I mean, really, it will need to be outstanding on a nearly molecular level just to have the privilege of existing in my arsenal next to the Samsung phones.

Yeah I read the same article too, and that's one of the big downsides with the iPhone, horrible battery life. I have the Anker extended battery 6400 mah in my Note 3 and love going all day without needing to charge. All my coworkers with iPhone are always scrambling for a charger several times a day.

I also read the larger 5.5" iPhone 6 may have as an option 128 gb internal storage. I find that funny because I just got a 128 gb microSD card for my Note 3, and with the 32 gb internal storage already, I currently have 160 gb total

It's interesting too because in Sept not only is the iPhone 6 being announced, supposedly the Note 4 will be too. Not sure if I'd go to a Note 4 right away, unless it has features that totally blow me away. I have so many accessories for the note 3 (cases, extended batteries etc) hate to buy them all over again for the note 4

But it is a very exciting time to be a big smartphone/tech person

One thing I really miss on Android is the ability to Back up the data and the apps in one go.... Just buy a new iPhone plug in to iTunes and press restore. Everything comes back. To do that on Android I have to void the warranty and root the phone. I takes me a day to restore my note 3 data.
I woukd seriously consider changing to a large iPhone. I also think most apps are better on Android. I also don't like all the crop software that samsung installs. Plus duplication of browsers etc.

Interesting. I never had an iPhone. Did you mean to say most apps are better on iPhone?

I too would like have a full back up and restore in one go, though on Android that would probably mean re-installing the rogue stuff that would cause you to reset in the first place.

Yes Illium software has a great database software for iPhone called ListPro (the Android equivalents are very poor) I've also noticed apps like magicjack not as good e.g no search.
Yes maybe your correct re you would load the crap again if u did a restore but I never had that issue at all with my iPhones. But it was great when I got a new phone up and running with a couple of buttons on the PC.
It's terrible now each app Syncs seperately .

Phones that are coming out now almost beat the iPhone 6 already so why switch back? I won't ever go back, period.
Went from iphones to the s3 and now the Note 3. With the LG g3, HTC One M8 and others already out and practically beating it in all areas I would find it hard for anyone to switch back.

Interesting. I haven't seen the iPhone 6...only rumors (and we know how credible those can be). I'm no iPhone fan myself but I haven't seen anything that would lead us to believe unreleased and unannounced hardware has already been "beaten" by existing devices.

I would like to see what exactly the iPhone 6 will bring with a larger screen. Apple's simplicity is always appealing. I would like to get some hands on with iOS 8 to see what it's all about as well.

I'll use my ipad air and ipod touch to play around with ios8 when it comes out but I'll be sticking with a Samsung device.
