Anyone thinkin about getting the iPhone 6 ????

For my part I go back and forth between Android and Apple more times than I can count as far as phones go,,,, (I still like my iPads better than Galaxy tablets).

I have had every iphone model ever made (except the 5c),,, the Galaxy 2, 3, 4 and 5,,,and the Notes 1, 2 and 3.

I'm currently rockin an iPhone 5s,,, over all though I think the S5 is the better phone,,,, but it's kinda fun playing with the 5s,,,, they both have their pros and cons,,,, but,,, the S5 is the clear winner for me over the the iPhone 5s

The iPhone 6 4.7" and 5.5" new bigger screen sizes have perked my interest along with Apple now incorporating some of the best features of Samsung os.

As a gadget junkie and not married to either Apple or Andriod I was wondering how many,, if any,, 5s owners and thinkin about getting the iPhone 6.

The camera, bigger screen size and new Samsung like keyboard and a few of the things I find of interest in the iPhone 6,,,,, anyone else ???

Cheers

I pretty much do the same thing as you. I am a gadget junkie. I will be checking out the iPhone 6 (the smaller version). I'm curious to see what Apple has up their sleeves with this one...

My very first smartphone was an iPhone 3G and have had every iPhone till iPhone 4S. Then I made the switch to the S4 and now the S5. IMO iOS just doesn't meet my expectations anymore so I decided to try the android. I have nothing against iOS. My wife will likely get an iPhone 6.

I switched from the iPhone 4 to the S5 mainly for the bigger screen. Now that I have seen how well you can customize the android I don't see myself going back.

This exactly. I can't say never, but I won't be getting the iPhone 6 (I will check it out, out of curiosity, though. I am an Apple fan and use a Mac, but am enjoying my S5, the customizations, widgets, etc.).

Nope. I've had every iPhone there is. I recently won my s5 in a raffle and I used to hate android. I tried this out and now with free music, more customizations I'll never go back

Absolutely not. I don't like Apple at all.

Company uses Apple products.... I pay out of my own pocket to use Android.
Apple is like the Borg..... Intrusive ecosystem that forces assimilation.
So no, I don't care how cool the hardware is.... I will never assimilate.

I won't be getting the iPhone 6, but not because I don't want it. I will be sticking with my 5S for now. I do like that they are making the screen larger. I think that the phablet is going to be sexy. I just have to get out of the habit of buying new phones every time I see one I like. It has become a real mess with me and I have spent way too much money. I have decided to stick with the iOS ecosystem with my iPhone and iPad and I'm not leaving. Not going to upgrade until I absolutely have to. And that won't be for a while.

Sent from my iPad Air. Simply better than the rest.

Hard to say given the iPhone 6 hasn't even been announced yet but I will always consider all my options.

As the OP of this thread,,,, a funny update,,,, I just couldn't handle my downgrade to the 5s,,,, so I dumped it today went back to the Galaxy S5.

Less than a week with the iPhone 5s was again, another reminder why I left the iPhones and switched to Android.

I go back and forth between iPhones and Samsungs and always come back to the Androids.

Still love my iPad Air but it's days are numbered as well,,,,, as soon as Android comes out with a "real" alternative to iMovie the iPad is gone.

In the last day or two I think I have lost most of my interest in the iPhone 6 and iOS 8 with the more I read and see about iOS 8.

Feels like home to be rockin a Galaxy handset again.

thought I would way in here....currently using a iPhone 5....loved the phone when I first got it but here lately the battery life is horrid and it's kinda boring. Don't get me wrong I love the interface I have with my macbook pro and iPad mini but i've kinda grown tired of the iPhone. I watched the Apple keynote a couple of weeks ago and while I was intrigued by the handoff and other features that Apple is bringing to ios8, i don't know if I will go for the 6 when it comes out. The few concepts that we have seen of the 6 seem to imply that all Apple is doing is a bigger screen. It looks longer...that's it. Now I hope that Apple surprises everyone with a really new design but the software needs to excite as well. For me anyways. It may work for others. The S5, M8 and others have really peaked my interest in Android again and I may end up going that route when my contract runs out in September. I'm a little concerned about syncing a Android phone with a mac but have saw a bunch of people here be able to do it so it's possible. All i can say is there are phones for everyone and I'm excited about the fall and what will be available.

Can't do it - my son, daughter, and wife have used Iturds in the past - while they do have their pros and cons for them, once I was able to convert them to an Android, they won't go back. I say that but now my daughter has said she wants to "look" (and we all know what that means) at the Iturd 6 when it releases. I also have other family members that still drink the Apple Kool-Aid and love the thing. I did have the Ipod classic and the Ipod Touch but who needs those now with Micro SD Cards? :D

I've never liked the Iturd for the simple fact (and maybe it's changed now) that you're tied to Itunes to do everything.

I am, I bought a Moto G recently and loved it until thevibration motor stopped working I usually keep my phone on vibrate so this is a big issue for me also I find that jailbreaking an iOS device is much easier than rooting an android. The fact that most of my friends and family have iOS devices is also a bonus because i would be able to use imessage and factime with them rather than the standard SMS.

Probalby. Love the screen and costomizability of the S5 but the lack of reliability of Android has me put off. I can't remember the last time I rebooted my 4S or my iPad. So far, it seems that I need a weekly or every 10 day reboot on my S5. I also shouldn't have to babysit the phone in this day and age. That's unacceptable.

I'll pick one up because I'm no fanboy and with the introduction of iOS 8, Apple will be leaving everyone else in the dust. I still prefer Windows Phone because of the competent UI and amazing keyboard but iOS 8 left everyone a lot of room to catch up. Sure, you can argue that other OSes have the features they added but none of them will be as well-implemented.

I'll definitely be looking at one. I recently switched to a 5S and really like it. Sure it isn't as exciting as Android, but for all intents and purposes - and for my use - it does everything that Android does aside from full customization. I can check email, send texts, send MMS, make phone calls, use my Google Calendar, play games, etc. I can also still use my Chromecast with my Google Play purchases and more. I can also take BEAUTIFUL pictures and videos. I'm not saying I can't do this on Android, I'm saying I can do this on both platforms. Android offers a ridiculous amount of customization, which I love and am still missing, but for what I use a phone for, iOS really does just about everything, too. Like one of the posters above, I have spent way too much money going back and forth to the newest thing, and switching platforms, and whatnot, that I need to settle down with one phone/tablet and one OS. iOS also provides a guaranteed upgrade cycle that I could stick to every year or even every other year. I'm still eyeing some Android products, but it might be the wiser choice to stick with what I'm using right now. One of my current issues is that I refuse to use anything that isn't stock Android, and with the Nexus line being up in the air at the moment, I can't commit to it.

Never again will I make the mistake of going the iPhone route. They are just too simple and boring for me.

The only reason I liked Apple, was the passion that Steve Jobs put into that device..
the way he talked about it and was behind it 100%

But now its like its playing catch up. so no apple isn't for me anymore.
