Someone posted in another thread about placing a screen protector on the back of the SGN5. I might try that. The Zagg Glass protectors seem to have a little 'grip' to it, and to me, it would do the trick. But, before I buy one of those (already have one on my screen), I'll use a new BlackBerry Z30 screen protector I have at home.

Hmm, this will be interesting...

Do come back and show us yours please.

I just finished installing mine. Love it so far, installation was pretty easy, aligning was the hardest part. There is a damn pimple on top 'eft corner which annoys the crap out of me. Can't decide whether to try to peel off that corner to try to take that dust out. Afraid it might screw it up.

Impressive. And to confirm, it isn't slippery, right?

I installed this back screen on my Note 5 so I can see the beautiful phone I paid so much for.
Amazon.com: IQ Shield LiQuidSkin - Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Screen Protector + Full Body (Front & Back) with Lifetime Replacement Warranty - High Definition (HD) Ultra Clear Smart Film - Premium Protective Screen Guard - Extremely Smooth / Self-Heali
Installation is easy and the wet application allows for easy placement correction. The pieces are very very well dimensioned to fit literally like a skin so install with good lighting and position carefully. Once the adhesive sets up you can't tell there is a skin over the glass. It is a bit more tactile than the Gorilla glass but not a whole lot.

For those who've already put the Dbrand skin on your Note 5, what do you do about the screen protector on the front?

I've ordered my Dbrand Black Carbon Fiber skin but still waiting for it to arrive (I live in Aus so might take a while). A friend at work has the S6 Edge and he somehow managed to get a crack on the glass on the back of his phone, this has made me somewhat nervous about only using a skin on my N5.

Definitely less slippery than glass, but it is a stretch to say it is not slippery at all.

My main purpose aside from looks was to prevent fingerprints, scratches, and overall keeping it clean

Same reason here.

installed the black carbon Dbrand skin on my Note 5 this weekend. My findings:

  • Dimensions not 100% accurate. Even when I paid a lot of attention aligning the bottom of the skin, the top would slightly cover the metal surround. So now my bottom is perfectly aligned, but the top half just covers the metal. This leaves a noticeable exposed edge on the skin which is rough to the touch
  • Although it is less slippery than the glass back, it is not that much of an improvement
  • If the rough edge gets on my nerves over the next week, it's coming off...

Thanks for posting your findings. Maybe post some images, too :)

Pictures would be great. Mine is near perfect. Took several tries before aligned correctly but I'm in love with mine.

You also have to remember dbrand uses 3M material is a little strechy which can also cause issues. I'm happy with the fit of mine. Looks like it came from the facatory on mine.

Yeah, that's probably what happened. When I had the bottom part aligned properly, there was a slight bend in the middle part which meant I had to pull the top part to even it out. Maybe that caused a slight stretch.

Mine arrived yesterday, but it was for my Note 4. In addition to the Note 4 and Note 5, DBrand has many more skins/colors for other phones. The one I chose didn't address the slippery issue, but I was able to put my clear case over it. I would suggest keeping their YouTube video demo on, I had to rewind many times to get the instructions correctly.

My white carbon fiber fits great. I didn't even take my time installing it. Just slapped it on and went about my day.

I didn't bother with the front. I have a tempered glass screen protector and it's usually in a Pelican Voyager case at work then a clear case on my days off. I got it mainly to cover up the AT&T "tramp stamp"
