I would like to use the Chase Bank app for making deposits - the one where you take a pic of your check(s) and it/they get deposited. I ran over to their site to get it and found they have one for business and one for personal checking accounts. I have one of each, do you know if I need to download both or will one do the trick? My business & personal accounts are merged in my online account.

Also, whoever has tried this - how did you like it? Any tips or warnings?

I have downloaded it, but not used it other than to check accounts. Try downloading teh business one since you need that regardless. If it does not show you the personal acct then download that too ...

Just went to check it out a little further - seems this is not a free service and the fees for a business one are way out of my wallet's range. I'll have to give them a call and double check this. I could have sworn one of the employees told me this was free.

It's probably free for personal accounts.

I know my bank charges our business for all sorts of stuff that I don't pay for with my personal account.

It is free for personal accounts. But I can't seem to get the camera to take a clear enough photo to have the check read.

So you're not able to make deposits or you yourself can't read them but the bank has no trouble?

Chase App is free for business and personal customers. Download it from the App store. The publisher is JPMorgan Chase. Any other publisher is not the app for Chase.com.

I have used it a few times for the personal account. It's a great idea and I love it. However, it may get frustrating because sometimes the app may not accept the picture because its too blurry. But I haven't tried it on the TB with the awesome camera :)

Just tried it for the first time, wouldn't take the deposit. Ugh. I think this is going to take some practice and it did give me the option of which account to deposit to :)

I have used it several times with my Fascinate. Usually have to take pics of the front and back 4-5 times each before I get a good one. Won't take a deposit of more than $1,000.00 or checks with certain blocked backgrounds.

All but two checks have eventually worked. One was over $1,000 and the other had some sort of protected background. Definitely better than driving to the bank & well worth the trouble.

I found out that I can login and the option to deposit to either account seems to be available. Tried it 10-12 times in various lighting, followed all the instructions, watched the video tutorial 2x and it still wouldn't take my deposit. Called the bank and found out there are issues w/the app and so she put a ticket in for me and said to give it 72 hours before trying again. That should be Thursday so I won't know until then if it's fixed.

I'm soooooooooo jazzed! Just on a whim I tried this today and it WORKED! Wayyyy cool! This has got to be one of the coolest things I will be doing on my TB! I just hope they don't move to charging fees for every camera deposit. That would suck.

I am almost positive its free, I think its a great idea.

In the commercials, the all appears to be easy to use for deposits. Looks like it isn't that easy. I'm guessing the conditions for taking the photo have to be perfect.

Currently it is free but I'm thinking down the road it wouldn't surprise me to see it costing money to use this service. Banks are fee-ing us to death now as compared to a few years ago.

Nope, my conditions weren't perfect. There are suggestions for best results but they aren't any different than taking other pics really. Dark non-glare background and steady hand and that's about it.
