Anyone use the tap n go feature to upgrade?

My WiFi passwords seem to always transfer.

Mine used to, but when I went from Note 2 to G3, and G3 to Nexus 6, no dice :-/

They're all still on my Nexus 7, so they're still backed up someway somehow...

Will Factory Data Reset erase the file structure and restore Lollipop so any imported folders & files from my old phone will be removed? The file structure currently looks like vomit to me.

I may try this with my N4 to N6 migration.

I factory flashed the N7 and N4 and they picked everything up nicely upon login.

The one gripe I have is that at some point on both handsets I lost the Lollipop wallpapers and have some old tired ones from previous Nexus releases.

I've tried it going from my Nexus 5 to the 6. Saves you the hassle of remembering and typing in your passwords at least. It's a nice little convenience. Disappointed that it doesn't transfer app data but that's not a huge deal.

On a sort-of-related note, I like that the setup screen actually takes into account 2-factor authentication text messages. It was extremely annoying to have to type in your account password and then you'd have to wait for the the verification code via text which is inaccessible because the notification shade is not active during setup. Now it automatically reads the code and brings you through to the next step.

My tap and go with my Galaxy S3 worked (I guess). It grabbed a list of all my apps that are compatible with Lollipop (disregards the ones that are NOT compatible). It did NOT grab any of my email accounts/server settings because Lollipop doesnt' use the old email app anymore, everything is done through GMail app (BOO!). So I had to download and learn CloudMail and set everything up again from scratch.

Definitely worth doing though!! I was floored at how cool it was, and I think I actually said "that's f'ing cool" out loud.

It worked with my old Moto x 2013 and N6, though it didn't copy over any pics, but I am using Moto migrate for my pictures and videos, and etc. Copied over my contacts just fine though.

Worked like a champ w my Note 3. All apps transferred and only had to redo screens.

Worked like crap going from my Nexus 4 running Lollipop to my new Nexus 6.

I already had the 5.0 update on my N7, so when I got my N6 everything transferred over from my tablet to my phone except my work email password.

Does Moto Migrate work with moving pics and texts over to the Nexus 6?

Cool thanks! Did it maintain MMS and group texts?

That I am not sure of, I only checked the box for Media and pictures, but i do think i remember going to the text app and seeing my text messages from previous conversations, don't quote me on that though! ;]

Cool. Glad to know the app at least works with the Nexus. I'll try it whenever I receive mine. Thanks!
