Anyone using Nexus 4 on Straight Talk?

OMG. I've only used 1.01 GB of data for this month so far, and guess what? Yep! I've been throttled! This is just unacceptable.

ST is one of the worst service providers; shady as hell and piss poor CS. After dealing with them, I happily moved over to T-Mo for a little bit more but at least they are up front - 2GB until they throttle.

Did you do much streaming? What made up your data usage?

i completely agree. i shot them an email threatening to leave if they don't resolve this and make sure that it doesn't happen again. unfortunately, t-mo coverage in my area isn't very good, but still might be worth a try at this point. maybe leaving sprint wasn't such a good idea after all...

Hmm I use around 3gb of data on straight talk most months for the past 8 months or so and not any problems for me.

What are the steps for activating a new nexus 4 on straight talk - tmobile. I got a free sim card from t mobile but from what I have read it sounds like I need an activation kit? Also, can I use the $30 dollar unlimited data from Walmart or do I have to get something else. Thank for the help...moving from Sprint so this is all new to me.

You need to go to straighttalksim.com and order the T-Mobile compatible sim from them. It will be $14.95 plus tax. They were shipping for free, not sure if they still are.

I have to correct myself. I just ordered my sim card from Wal-Mart and it will be here Thursday.
Thanks Dmowry7300 for the info.

Not a problem. Just wanting to help other Nexus 4 owners anyway I can. We are a family after all:-)

I just did it tonight with seller rarinter. I bought a $45 refill for $38.50. After providing the phone number to get the refill, the credit was added to the account within maybe 5 minutes. Awhile ago I did the same thing with a T-mobile account, same seller, and same results. 15% savings on ST, and 10% savings on TM. Hard to beat!

If I'm on Auto-refill and I purchase one of these, will ST just not bill my credit card the next month?
