My old bose earphones finally got damaged. Now I'm about to start using the AKG earphones that came with the Note.

Had anyone used those? Are they as good as Bose? Or should I get a new pair of Bose for their sound quality

I quite like them. I used the stock ones that came with my s7 edge too and the ones with the note 8 are much better. I generally find in ear headphones of this style fall out of my ears so didn't expect to be able to use these but actually finding they work quite well. good isolation to background noise too

I never liked in ear buds but actually like these, using the biggest rubber piece and their a good fit and sounds a lot better than any I have gotten for free with a phone before

I use them and like them. I don’t have any Bose earphones. I would think that you would probably be better qualified to tell us how they compare to the Bose earphones since you were just using them. For my needs, they sound good enough.

Go into the sound settings and do the customization, it made them sound better to me. Settings /Sounds & Vibrations /Advanced /Sound Quality & Effects /Sound Personalization / Adapt Sound

They fit great. They're tinny as hell. I have 40+ years in audio which is good and bad. I have a very discerning ear but as everyone gets older, our personal sweet spot in our ear's eq changes.

That said, I Start "flat" with these, build the bottom and add just enough mids and highs to sound natural. Makes for a goofy looking curve but it works.

Backwards from the way I normally dial in equalization.

I use the AKG headphones on the daily and it works well for what I need it to - listening to music and watching videos on YouTube/Netflix/Hulu. Never had an issue

I was told by the sales guy these were incredible earbuds yet when I put them on and cranked it up I was very disappointed. I use the Bose wireless soundsport.

I've been using them at work. Yesterdaythe right ear bud is suddenly lower volume than the left. Maybe clogged with gunk?

Finally tested it out. it's a decent pair of headphones. Nothing great about it. Had to customize the equalizer again to get it to how I wanted. Thankfully Android provides that option as well.

The sound quality is just on par with the ones Apple provides with their phones, but the earbuds are the usual soft kind.

Guess, I'll have to buy another set of Bose earphones soon.

I don't know if I had my sound settings messed up, but the stock headset sounds like a tin can, terrible. 😝

they sounds tinny until you get the right ear buds on them and then you have to push them in your ear good. then they sounds good.

Beats by Dre Powerbeats 2 sound so good.
The Akg ones I gave to my granddaughter, they sound (Tinny) as hell.

I find it funny that those complaining are getting Bose... Audiofiles you are not.

I've used them. They are decent. Not as good as my Bose. I'm no audiophile though so...you can take it with a grain of salt.

It's straight up bizarre that people in this post are talking about Bose as though they are the gold standard of in-ear headphones. That's like going to burger king for coffee.

Unless the discussion is about noise cancelling, over-ear headphones, I literally have no idea why Bose are even being mentioned...

E: And for what it's worth, the AKG tuned ones are very much decent and possibly the best headphones ever included with a smarthphone. With the correct sized tips, and phone's EQ adjusted to taste, they are IMO as good as anything you can expect for less than triple digits.

Before I got my S8's and Note 8 I saw many people saying how great they were and when I got the AKG's with those phone's I found them pretty disappointing. A few months later I needed I grabbed them to use because I broke my good ones and several hours later I actually started to appreciate them much more. I think using he UHQ Upscaler and Adapt Sound to tune them to your own ears makes a huge difference too. I'm approaching 40 now so my hearing isn't what it used to be and the Adapt Sound really brings out the best in headphones for me personally
