Hi,
My daughter will be going to Spain for 3 weeks. The GS3 apparently does not have international capabilities, at least with Sprint. We have found this 3rd party app, Yuilop, that looks like it will serve our needs during the time she is there. However, still have a couple of questions - is there a way to disable this app during the time she is still here? We loaded it up and got it working, but every call and text went through the Yuilop app. While she is still here, we would like to be able to disable Yuilop and use regular Sprint service. Also, Yuilop uses internet connection through 3G and wi-fi. Does this mean she will be able to use her phone over the G3 network in the area even though Sprint is not supported, or will she only be able to connect through wi-fi. Sprint doesn't know and I cannot find a way to contact Yuilop.

Thanks!

Never used it but all apps in the playstore have contact information. I got this right off the playstore.

Hi Skunkape60

I work at yuilop, so hopefully can give you a good, though admitedly non unbiased opinion!

It sounds like your daughter probably has yuilop set up as the default app for calls and SMS. She needs to go into settings and select native apps again as default until she is ready to turn it on again while abroad.

I'm not sure what roaming deal you have with Sprint, but to be sure you don't spend a dime, best she turn off data roaming on the phone and just use the app over WiFi. Also if you have the app too, calling & SMS between you two wont require any credit (though if she runs out of credit for any reason, she can top up by visitng the offer wall and getting more for free). Any other questions or doubts give us a shout directly at info@yuilop.com.
