AOD not working after Pie Update...

Hey all!! I got my 9.0 Pie update on my Verizon Galaxy Note 9 today and everything seems pretty good so far except that when I turn off the display there is no Always On Display... Just a black screen. Is this normal? I already checked settings and AOD is turned on. I am using the default clock format too. Any help would be greatly apriciated. Thanks!!

That fixed mine too. I hate crap like that with updates. Why remove a setting I had, and default it to something else? Makes no sense

They would have to create a custom update for every user to keep everyone's settings.

How do you figure? It kept some of my settings, such as the clock type and color I had custom selected. It just decided not to carry forward this basic feature of leaving the clock on when the screen is off... Which seems strange seeing as the thing is called Always On Display.

Before the update, I was able to show my contact info, but after the update it doesn't show and I can't figure out how to get it to show like before. Any ideas?

What if one function was updated dramatically, thus resetting it, while another function was not updated at all, leaving it untouched?

I am having the same issue just a black screen , that sucks.

Settings>Lock screen> Contact information.

I have that set with my name as before but it no longer appears on AOD screen

I have my Contact Info set, it's just not showing on AOD screen. Maybe a bug with the update or Samsung took the option out completely, I'm not sure?

Oh I thought you meant on the lock screen. My bad. Yeah I don't know about that then.

that got me for a bit, but then i saw it was set on the tap option. i actually like and keeping it that way lol
