hi i rooted my thunderbolt a couple of days back and put on a aosp rom mini bamf 1.0. the only problem ive been having is my data speeds have plumented i have 4g where i am at. and before i was rooted i was getting 10-15mbps now im ony getting 2-3 not good. has any one else running this rom and getting good speeds. i also have the same problem on cm7. thanks for all the help

I'm having the same issue after loading bamf saob 1.01. before I was on bamf forever 1.0.7 and when I did a speed test, it upoaded over 14mb and shows it was on LTE network but now when in a 4g area, the test only get about 2mb and, even though the thunderbolt is showing its on 4g, the results are showing that it only testing on a 1xRTT network

I just download SpeedTest and did a few tests... all between 9-11, but I just got a 15 down... and that is with CM7... it's not an AOSP ROM issue.

Could it be that I need to update my radio? I didn't change the radio at all. I just got the thunderbolt as a replacement a week ago and I'm using whatever the radio set up is that came with it. Possibly MR2

Possibly MR2 is not much information to go on... Settings > About Phone > then look around for "Baseband version"... what are the numbers???

If you want to look at the latest numbers look at my "Latest Radio" link in my signature.

Sorry, I was thinking that I should have included the baseband numbers after I sent that message. My numbers are 1.39.00.0627r, 0.01.69.0625. Again, the phone is definitely switching/showing a 4g signal when I enter from a 3g area into a 4g but it doesn't seem to be connecting to 4g internally or sending/receiving at 4g speeds.

1.39.00.0627r, 0.01.69.0625 is one of the last Froyo based radio files. I'm using one of the last Gingerbread radio 1.48.00.0906, 0.01.78.0906, which was based on the last OTA Gingerbread release... if you flash these files from the link in my signature you will need to flash both the CDMA radio and the LTE radio separately. I have had no issues leaving my 4G area and going north, or returning to my 4G area... it's probably worth trying if you are having issues with the older radio files you are currently using.

So, I just download both files individually and then place them both on my sd card even though they both have the same file name of PG05.img and then install through bootloader? Thank you so much for your help

You can only load one at a time... load one, boot up, remove or rename the first file, load the second file, boot up, remove or rename the second file... it's VERY Important to remove or rename these files after you load them.

ah ha, now I get it. This is the one thing that has been confusing me and holding me back the whole time from installing a new radio. I couldn't understand how I could install two files of the same name at the same time. Awesome! Thank you again!!!
