Looks good but what was that little bit of sound at the end when the bee fades away and other screen pops up  ha, can that be edited out ? or no? ;)

When the bee fades and apex fades in is the bootup sound. When apex is done flashing it boots my home screen. That was the sd card notification that you turn on or off on your own phone.

I believe it was a joke about the windows sound used on s Android devices boot screen.. :D

Hmm, tried this bootanimation, and it worked just fine. Only problem is, when I went back to my original animation, it is slower than ever, maybe half speed at most?!?!?

When I try and install any bootanimations from recovery now, it freezes up, and I have to copy them over via root explorer?!?

Help!?!

Are you deleting this boot from data/local before flashing another. Some people have the animation go to data/local and others system/media. Take a look in root explorer and delete all animations. Also what zip are you trying to flash now. I have went between a few with no issues. Let me know and hopefully we can get it working correctly.

I deleted the bootanimation.zip file that was in data/local and the apex.mp3 file from system/media. Copied over the Super Mario bootanimation file and it's going SLOW. It's almost like it's still trying to load the audio file or something.

Tried to install 8 or 9 animations from the recovery menu and all of them froze mid install. :(

Is there any other file/s setting that I need to remove, delete?

BTW, this is on a plain rooted X, without the APEX rom, if that helps.

Hmmm. Try and put in system media. Also open the boot animation and look into the desc file. On the top line far right will have a number. That's the frames per second. The apex boot was slow at 10. If yours are low bump up. Hope that works. If not flash the all important backup. The flash zip only drops the two files in place so I don't know how it slowed others down.

Nope, didn't work. Looks like I do a reset. Not like it's the first. ;-)

Where is the default apex boot animation stored? I am wanting to put on another that I found on droidpirate, but can not find the default apex to remove it before adding on a new one. \data\local and \system\media are both empty.

Thanks

He hides it good. Just place the new one in data local and it will use yours.
