Is there a way to back up my galaxy s9+ and do a factory reset and restore it exactly as it was (all apps and settings as it was before like an image backup) without going through auto redownloading from apps store and manually restore settings for each app and phone settings without rooting?

Thank you in advance.

I've found that backing up to Google works well.

You're welcome in advance.

Not sure what you mean by backing up to Google. Does Google have an Image Backup app? Can you point me in that direction? Thanks!
@Mustang and Kizzy:
Smart Switch restores the phone exactly as it was before doing a factory reset? I had no idea it could do that. I will give it a try. Thank you!

Just completed Samsung Smart Switch and unfortunately it did not restore my phone to the way it was in regards to home screen, downloaded apps and adding a bunch of bloatware. :-(. I'm going to have to manually download missing apps and restore home screen and it also seems some data has been lost with the apps that it did restore. Disappointed in Samsung and their Smart Switch.

I was referring to Google Drive which should be an option in your backup settings (I don't have a Samsung phone and don't have a Windows PC).

Doing a factory reset, then restoring the backup you did before the reset, actually accomplishes nothing, since resetting the phone deletes what you restore. (It doesn't change Android in any way, or do any other "clean up" things, it just restores the phone to a clean new phone (none of your apps or data) running whatever version of Android is in the phone when you reset it. Then you restore the backup and you reset the reset.

Ok. I ran Smart Switch a second time and this time it recovered and restored everything as it was before. Basically it did an Image Restore. Exactly what I was looking for. A shame I had to do it twice but at least it worked. Unfortunately it took most of my afternoon to get it back to the way it was. Bah!
Once again, Thank you everyone for your help! :)
