App downloaded and installed from internet does not show up in app drawer or home screen.

[Android Central Question]

On my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (running Android 7.0) I downloaded an APK from the internet. I know that I've installed it, because I have actually ran the app on my phone before. However, it doesn't show up in my app drawer or on my home screen. I have way of opening the app on my phone again. The app shows up when I go into Settings > Apps, but I still cannot open it from the settings. I really don't want to uninstall the app and lose all my data. How can I open the app again?

Check Samsung files manager maybe it download but you didn't install.

Welcome to Android Central! What app was it? Be careful with installing apks from random websites, since that's a good way of getting adware or malware.

No, I know for a fact that it is not malware/adware. It's from a reliable source.
Yes, the app is installed, I've used that app before.
As I stated in the description, it even shows up under Apps in Settings.

It's in the apps , but not in app drawer?
Maybe restart the phone or is it hidden page on the drawer?

If you have any folders in your App Drawer, make sure to look in there as well.

Okay, problem resolved. The app wasn't in my app drawer or my home screen at all. It wasn't in a folder or anything, so I downloaded an app that made home screen shortcuts. Worked like a charm. The app still isn't in my app drawer, but at least it's on my home screen.
