App drawer not showing pitch black AMOLED?

When setting my home screen to amoled black, I noticed that the app drawer is not pitch black. Easily notifiable in a dark room. Is this a limitation of one UI and android 10?

Have you checked under dark mode setting if wallpaper match is toggle on ?

Yes, I just did. Doesn't make any difference still the app drawer is not true amoled black. Can see it in a dark room clearly when swiping up.

I think that's the way it is on the stock launcher I'm looking at mine it has dark black wallpaper and flip to app drawer it's greyed shaded

My app drawer is dim version of my wallpaper

Looks like they add a "Blur Filter" to the background of the App Drawer so that you won't see your wallpaper while trying to select an App. This would be enough to create a "Shade of Grey" to a black background!

Can always use 3rd party launcher like Nova to change app drawer to your liking.
