App icons overlapping issue on redmi note 9 pro max

So there's an issue with rn 9 pro max where app icons are placing themselves on top of other icons and I'm unable to form app groups on the screen

Look at your font size and are you using a 3rd party launcher?

Does that persist if you change wallpapers? Are you sure you're not using a wallpaper that's actually a screenshot of your homescreen?

Nope absolutely not. New apps just appear on the home screen randomly placing themselves anywhere

This is the stock launcher, and not a 3rd party one, right? Does this persist after a reboot?
