App Isnt Installed

Have a weird thing happening. My son goes to a special school so he has a day and an evening calendar. I downloaded these from my email and added shortcuts to homescreen. They work fine then one says App not Installed.

I downloaded Word. Both files are the same type. Only one opens after downloaded and added as a shortcut. All apps are updated from what I can see.

After re downloading again it is working. Strange. Earlier one of the shortcuts worked, then later said App not installed. These are simple word doc calendars. When downloaded I can consistently access them in MyFiles app.

I had a similar issue with the Note 8 where the shortcuts would become unable to be opened.

A shortcut is just a pointer to an app - it can get corrupted. That's probably what happened - so it was pointing to caendar instead of calendar and you have no app named caendar (or some corruption like that).
