Ok, I was on Stock with what my signature says and tried to flash recovery, it would not flash it. I used flash image GUI and no problem. recovery.img was on the root of the SD card like app said. It wouldn't flash it if life depended on it.

Yep. I'm currently running stock (yes how embarrassing) and I can't flash anything either. The reason is (from my research) is that stock doesn't contain the flash_image binary... so... you need the flash_image binary installed. However, the cat binary I use in the app to install the flash binary is absent too.... so there a circular problem. I need a way to install the flash binary directly to the system partition.

Actually... I am fixing my code and realized that the method to flash the recovery is never called in the latest version... haha. I fixed that and I'm getting it to work on stock. It's taking a couple tries to get the flash image binary to stick though so I might just make it forget installing it and call it from the sdcard... which would make it smaller still.

Some people don't have it on SD card....

Oh I know.

Update out. I fixed a major embarrassing problem... be patient when the toasts pop up because the system might be slow when installing the binary and then flashing the recovery. Report any errors.

Has this been verified on the Optimus T

I missed this post... very sorry. Not that I know of, but since the Optimus T is in the Optimus One family, I would say it should work. It couldn't hurt to try.

For someone who said earlier that you have flash image GUI on your sdcard for all your flashing needs you seem like an awfully big fan. Thanks for the support

Ok, I am running stock optimus U firmware and I rooted with gingerbreak, that worked fine. but because of the outdated su app and binaries, the recovery flasher won't work with it..
